On the first hole I said slippery greens after my putt went sliding by the hole then he called me a wanker. He dropped out after three holes and I got his coins lol. This was the only rudeness I have encountered here. Is there a way to report really nasty players?

I apologize on behalf of my badly behaved countryman.

WGT needs proof before taking any action, so if it happens again, be sure to take screen captures of the offending material and send them to members@worldgolftour.com

Bear in mind that you're now in wgt's universe, so the normal procedures don't apply.  In this world the burden of proof falls on you.  In other words, now you must present evidence to wgt that you are not a wanker.

I've been called a lot worse ,  Yes you can report abusive players to WGT but like Scott says they want proof ,  When playing with strangers you never know what kind of person you will encounter , Sometimes they are rude etc.   Join a CC and make friends , then you can play with friendly people who wont call you names ..

My recipe for abusive players: Block and forget!

Anything more is too much energy wasted.

"Wanker"???  What does that EVEN mean??  I believe it is only offensive to those small minds that EVEN do.

Oh, and by the way, Ye Old English called...they want their insult back.

    just sayin'

In some parts of the UK wanker is used as a term of endearment.

i.e. You really should learn to spell properly, you wanker.

Actually means "If you wish I could point you in the direction of an online dictionary to assist you with any future posts you may make, friend."

    or

Another example of how confusion may arise when in conversation with folk that reside in certain areas of the United Kingdom would be:

You only think it's an insult, you wanker ?

Anyone using the above is not doubting your intelligence - they are merely looking to help clarify your understanding of the situation.

Should a similar occurrence happen here on the main forums then the use of a graphic can say more than any amount of words. Something akin to the following would probably have saved myself typing anything in this reply:

It is an insult, basically means tosser, dick head, the C word.

Personally I like it when I get called, means I have rattled them and im the better player (doesn't happen often though unfortunately).
