Oh my goodness..... What a great club.

As a 3week old Legend was struggling a little bit, shooting around the par mark, -1,   -2 .+3,+4, those type of scores but still enjoying the challenge (sometimes...lol). Finally got to  L88 and got the R11 Driver and WOW.. today sofar 3 32's in a row, two at ST.A F9/B9 and one at Beth F9

    Very Very nice club!!

    Cheers

I'm trying to finish level 85 to get there but you need 36,000 points. Damned teasers.

You're going to be disappointed, piz. The meter is slower than what you have now and doesn't match the i15s well. The distance is marginal, too, and with the higher loft the wind pushes it around a bit more.

Maybe it's different at the Legend level but I doubt it. JMO (but I do have it.)

The Driver has a slower meter speed, which is perfect for me. I had the R9 cannon which was very good, but the R11 has added a little more distance, sometimes quite alot.  My longest drive with the R9 was 397yds in a Alt shot game so it wasn't registered (hmmm), hoping  to get the Diamond award with the R11 lol.

Haven't noticed any strange movements in flight yet.

Perfect club to use off the Legend Tees, To tell you the truth it might be a bit too long on the shorter holes on the other Tees as you will have to use shorter swings and could cause troubles.

Once you get in the Level 80's it's a pain to reach the next one because of the number of points needed.. I'm on Level 88 with 398247 points, my next level up will be 428488.

    Highly Recommended Club to use

    Good Luck

Good advice Jim, if you use the i15s that is. I use the G10's and its a perfect fit for me. Had the R9-280 but couldn't get use to the difference in meter speeds. The R9-280 will go toe to toe with the R11.

IMO, if you can hit the R9-280 consistently, you shouldn't need the R11.

398,000!!!  I'm only on level 82 with 241,000.  So, that's about another 157,000.  At, say, 1500 points per day... that's 105 days, over 3 months!  And that's if I play every day and get the 880 bonus points, which is a tall order!

Now I understand why SM keeps getting those drinks.  Oh boy!  Just looked at the price of those things.,,  I think I'll stick to just playing and getting tired.

The driver isn't until Level 88 - a longish row to hoe!

That said, I am very pleased with the hybrid in this line, and use it almost all the time instead of the 3 wood from the G10s.

Based on the TaylorMade site, alas, there do not appear to be any R11 irons coming our way.

It may be slower Jim but so far I have had no problems matching up with my i15's. I shot my first double digit sub par round with the R11 and my ! 15's yesterday. -10 62 @ St.Andrews moderate winds and tournament green speeds not the usual low winds standard speeds that our CC usually has.If I hadn't had a brain dead moment on the green @ 17 and 4 putted for a double bogey it would have been a -12 60. I will admit with the tour-sd ball it is a little harder but with the Callaways it isn't too hard to hit the ding with all my clubs, Or maybe playing the Tour-SD balls has made me better player,  able to handle the meter better with all my club ad ball combos.

The new talormade irons are the tour preferred series. They come in muscleback, musclecavity and cavityback.

They are available here (Toronto) in mid April so maybe they will be coded after that for use at WGT.

    mmmmmm    yummy
