I am finally sick of all this Bulls**t. I am gone. I will not keep dumping money into this fn game when there are ev3en more issues after the so-called *updates*. It cant be our computers you liars because I was playing with many members of my CC and we have team speak.  We were all experiencing the same crap. Fatal errors, disconnects and meter issues which were even worse than before. Do something about this bull or give us our money back. I lost 5 callways because of the meter issues in two rounds. I haven't lost a ball in over a yr. Oh don't forget the virus I got that I had to manually remove.

P.S. It isn't my computer. I have a quad core 2.6 processor and 8gigs of ram with a monster G-force vid card.

Bad enough to endure the shotty meter, but couple it with now frequent 20 second waits in between changing views and up to a minute between holes, you have a recipe for frustration.

After a few weeks of tracking, I am now completely convinced that either the server or relays they use have a major impact on meter performance.  It's never going to be perfect, but when these server issues crop up causing unusually long loading, the meter problems grow exponentially.

I'd love to hear if anyone has noticed the same thing.  This game has soooooooo much potential, but until the guys at WGT immerse all their resources in fixing the server and meter issues, the game will continue struggle to keep it's membership up and build a profitable business model.

To those of you who believe that meter issues are built in to generate revenue, I do not and will never comprehend your argument.  Why would they risk losing membership and jeopardizing their reputation for pennies they could gain on lost balls, compared to dollars they could earn from getting out of BETA and firmly establishing their site as the best computer golf game ever?  The old saying of penny wise and dollar dumb comes to mind, which I don't believe they are.  I think it's just a simple case of ineptitude on behalf of the programmers, designers, and technicians.

Even with all the problems, it's still the best show in town.  I just wish the game could realize it's full potential.  4 years in BETA and problems get worse with every update.  You'd think it would be the other way around.

i'm thinking the last thing on their agenda is fixing the meter.

fact is.....when i show 25 friends green on my list = meter is as steady as stevie wonder walking the tightrope over niagra falls.

when i have 3 friends green on my list = meter is a smooth as a baby's a$$.

this tells me one thing......when it's peak traffic time and there are a lot of people playing the game, you're going to get nothing but slowness of game loading and tortured to death with the meter going belly up.....but let's just blame our pc's....clean the cache or delete cookies rofl.

does anyone know how many servers are used at the moment?

I believe it's 7 or 8 servers in use.  But if I remember correctly, WGT does not own their servers and information is not piped straight to them.  All shot information is bounced and relayed through multiple points before it actually reaches the servers or your computer.

the only fix for the meter is a non-flash version or one with a larger ding area. Unfortunately I do not see this happening.

What ever was done last night is a disaster. I have virus, germs.infection & cooties. If the clown responsible for these wonderful changes is discovered to be a WGT employee, I will sue your ass.

I thought girls only had cooties before boys entered puberty.

Since deleting most of my friends, my meter is much more playable.  I know its a social game, but give being anti-social a go, it might reduce the skips.

Well while every1 is anti WGT at the mo, just thought i'd say that i never get disconnects. Might get the meter jump once a week but then i can't complain. Everything runs pretty smooth my end.

I don't use any game boosters or google chrome or anything extra. Just a simple laptop that was quite cheap. I do have fibre optic broadband but then i'm not sure that makes a big difference.

The forums are full of people asking WGT to fix their problem but i'm thinking the problem is not with WGT but with your own systems and set ups
