I have been playing this game for a while and at tour pro level. I want to join a country club who are friendly and active. There are so many choices and when I look up so many clubs I see so many members who haven't played in years.

    Any suggestions or helpful hints

Deer Park Country Club has a very active member base. Out of 125 members we only have 3-4 who do not play regular. We will have openings around 12:00  this morning as we are getting rid of some members. Look us up some time..

You may just have to kiss a few frogs before you find a prince (or princess, whatever). There are some persuasive recruiters out there who make their club sound awesome but when you get there it doesn't meet your expectations. Lots of clubs carry a bit of dead weight, especially when they have hundreds of members but I cant imagine any club has full active participation of all its members.

However in the words of JFK, think not what a club can do for you but what you can do for a club. Just one extra member can make a huge difference if he is prepared to be engaging, active, helpful etc.

    Best of luck.

We do have full active participation at Guys and Dolls.  Except for the past month with a couple of members taking a brief break, we get 100% playing in a lot of our CC tournaments....with still over 75% on a poor turnout.

However, the above request for an "active CC" comes from someone who has been playing for 3 years, is still a Tour Pro with only 48 ranked rounds?  He is not a fit for all of those reasons in our club (no offense).

I still say I see a difference in the players that have joined WGT in the last year or two . The ones I have been running into are only willing to go part way . Barely partial commitments  to the CC events , to the other players , or the owner . A distant disconnect I cannot understand .

Youngsters on mobile, they come and go as fast as the next new game app pops up.

If a player  of his status , accepts an invitation to an active CC . And THEN still does not get it . Then you would be right . Would not be a good fit for any active CC .

Everyone has to start some where . A good CC that enlightens one and sparks that fire in them . Is how GR8 CC members are found .
