I AM UNHAPPY WHEN I HAVE A 21" PUTT,AND YOU PUT UP A 150" METER..FIRST,I CANNOT ADJUST MY METER SCALE BELOW 25',WITHOUT IT GOING 5" INSTEAD OF 16" ON A HOT PUTT..MUST BE SOME WAY TO PROPERLY USE THE INFLATED SCALES ON NOMINAL PUTTS.DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM/ISSUE?? EW  59WISH

Simply hit the putt with less speed and it will go less distance>?

You don't need to hit 21ft putt with 25ft power, simply hit it with 20 power

I have had that problem when going from large scale to smaller scale. The distance on the scale does not seem to be the same. Had a lot of putts come up short.

Only problem I get is when people keep telling me I need to upgrade from the beginners.

Presumably so that I too can suffer the ignominies of lashing out dinaro for sub standard goods.

    Thats what I think anyway.

How do we determine what 20 power is without marks on the meter bar?

eyeball it like the rest of us,

start off by pulling the meter roughly half way, on a 30ft scale thats a 15 ft putt,

so now using the halfway point and then start point, eyeball half way between that, thats roughly 22.5 ft,

Then bring it back a little bit (this is where the feel comes in) and bam, youre now atleast in the ball park of 20 ft.

Then you adjust based on elevation and break...

Same theory applies to any putting scale...

    15ft - 3.75 (1/4), 7.5 (1/2), 11.25 (3/4)

    30ft - 7.5 (1/4), 15 (1/2), 22.5 (3/4)

    etc....

There's also a way in which you can use the avatars movements per how many ft per movement it is, but it's more complicated than just eyeballing the meter itself, so look it up in the forums if you want.

1 move on the 150 scale.  Not complicated at all and very consistent.

As it should be. There is a reason why you always try to hit club to the fullest.

Imagine doing a full swing and then trying to hit with 20% power.  It will never be consistent.

There is no reason to use 150 meter except for few holes on STA.

Approximating power is quite easy and until this thread, only time I heard such complaint was from new members. But, obvioulsy, for them  that's a valid reason when you never hit it.
