I think it would be great if we could have a section on the site where you could watch other peoples multiplayer matches. It would be useful not only for Community Organised tournaments, but also if you log in one day and just want to have a look around and don't fancy playing, you could go to the "TV section" and there could be like a series of links to watch all the multiplayer matches that are being played at that moment.

I don't know how technogically easy or difficult this would be, or whether there would be legal problems because of privacy terms... what d'you reckon?

This has already been proposed by Weirsy & by pekkaV and it's a great idea. Watching a game between, say, AvatarLee & Tibbets, or Nivlac & Thunderbird, would be more entertaining for me than many rounds I play myself. I saw a documentary about South Korea where gaming is popular to such a degree that 60 thousand people can get into a stadium and watch 2 gamers competing each other on a huge screen, and they cheer them on. Well, why not give us the same thing here on WGT, with the consent of players participating in the round to be "broadcast". (And there might be a separate chat window for the spectators of a game, as opposed to the chat window for players.)

Or not such a good idea !played an other online game with a gallery and it caused a lot of trouble for players, ppl coming in and putting players off ect...remember not evrybody on the net acts responsable and respect other players.

However if players can just watch its a good thing ,but no chat would be better.

The spectators' chat window would be optional for players to be displayed or not, so that shouldn't be a problem.* The problem is more technological, I believe: ensuring that arriving/departing spectators don't disrupt the game from running smoothly for the players themselves, etc.

*(I don't get it how some players can complain about other players' chatting in WGT multi-player games. After all, they can easily ignore & close the chat window, unlike in real life.)

This would be an absolutely ace feature.

If the data is only outgoing, just the players shots, then there shouldn't be any interruption of service. A rough example being they could just point a video camera at one screen and then stream that video completely seperate from the game.

Obviously that would be less than ideal, but it seems it could be done with a similar, but more technical approach.

    yes good idea.

when starting a new MP game you have an option for the game to be "observable".

others can choose to view an ongoing game.

players have options for chat... show observer chat, show player chat etc.

Spectator mode in this game is absolutely essential.

Game should continue whether or not the spectators have loaded to avoid any problems, and the chat should be configurable on/off for spectators by the host of the game.

This is deffinetly a feature that WGT should go for, it would be awesome!

Options to on/off spectatorchat is a must, you should be able to watch a game without any outer interference.

Just think about the Ryder Cup foe!!!
