K7JBQ: The answer is simple. Get enough ranked rounds to saturate as Master; thereafter, better rounds replace higher scores in the average. Same thing with every tier change. We've all been through it.
It's even simpler: Don't mind saturation, don't mind "bringing the ave. down". The core of tiering up from Master is to collect 40 scores which - together - result in an average of 63.00 or less. Everything else is padding. In the final pot, there will probably be no score higher than 33/66 - mine was topped by two 65s. Thus, be a happy grinding hacker and just wait for it to come.
@GitU, I like your thoughts on Levels. After reaching Master, you may need some new equipment (good wedges!), and you certainly need some longer stuff as a Legend, for some fun in the game.
And, playing daily, you will certainly be able to learn about the shots and course management and play&collect better scores for the next tiers. Playing with friends (e.g. in A/S) will show you how others play - priceless lessons, and good fun!
