I did some searching. Hadn't found what I was looking for. I have the G25's and so do thousands of others since they are such a highly recommended upgrade to L level.

If there's already a club mapping for these out there somewhere would be great. Or I'll do it myself but if I do it myself.........

Would I only map the carry distance?

    or

Map the carry distance and the roll amount?

Any suggestions on how much to map them? Maybe starting at 100% then down by 10% increments would give you 10 stats?

And then there's punch shots. Might be a good idea to map those distances too. ???

    Hey G,

I found this info in a post by Solar Flares from 2015.

"Hey , I thought this may help but you should really go and map them with the ball you'll use.

But using Volvic l51 Crystals - with a 4 distance and averaging 2 goes , one up the fairway - one down in low wind and dinging   -  here's my bounce-points and rollouts on a flat fairway with no spin applied.

                   Bounce / Rollout

    3i   195 / 230      4i  180 / 215      5i   175 / 210     6i   170 / 195     7i      160 / 175

             8i    145 / 148      9i    130  /  133       PW    115  /  117"

I would recommend that you do some mapping yourself  I usually use Kiawah #1 (flat green and almost no elevation from anywhere) and map iron shots to the green.  Use your game ball, and the low wind setting in practice mode.

Normally I try to get full shot readings, @ 90%, 95% and 100% power.  Dinged shots as much as possible, and at least with neutral and full backspin.  3/4 backspin  is good to know as well as full topspin.

Punch shots  depends on how often you think you will use one with an iron, except the PW.  Do you want to know  based on the same power levels?  Much depends on how much you want to spend on balls.

At one time I found a post by 11BC2 (Sean) showing pitch, flop, punch shots, and full shots with full topspin for the upper level Cleveland RTX 64* wedge.  He used a Cally ball with 4.0 distance, 2.5 spin when mapping them

It was done showing distance yard by yard, and the power needed for that distance.  You might search for it under Cleveland lvl 80 distance mapping.

I will hit the ball back instead of using the Mulligan button, as that costs 2 shots of ball life. I also make note of the wind and direction as I make my notes.

Hope this helps you some.  GL,

My situation is much the same.

During free rentals I have been testing out lots of iron sets, and the level 59s are soooo sensitive to the wind it seems. Is that just how the high trajectory clubs work?

Also, I'm at level 73 right now. I'm trying to improve my gir., especially on the part 3s. Should I just wait to level 85, or find the nearest deal now?

Any advice on irons would be much appreciated.

    Hey G,

I found that post by 11BC2 (Sean).  I am reposting all the info again, to make it easier for anyone else who is interested to use it.  I've used it with many different from WGT G13-s to Nike Blacks and didn't find much deviation in distance at all..

    Cleveland 64W - lvl 80 (club = 4.5 spin; ball = 2.5spin 4.0 distance):

17y Pitch (full b/s;  for .25 or .5 gaps use inbetween % or remove some b/s):

    • 17y  -  100%
    • 16y  -  96%
    • 15y  -  91%
    • 14y  -  86%
    • 13y  -  82%
    • 12y  -  76%
    • 11y  -  72%
    • 10y  -  68%
    •   9y  -  64%
    •   8y  -  58%
    •   7y  -  54%
    •   6y  -  50%
    •   5y  -  46%

    20y Flop (full b/s):

    • 19y  -  100%
    • 18y  -  96%
    • 17y  -  92%
    • 16y  -  88%
    • 15y  -  85%
    • 14y  -  82%
    • 13y  -  78%
    • 12y  -  74%
    • 11y  -  70%
    • 10y  -  66%
    •   9y  -  62%
    •   8y  -  58%
    •   7y  -  54%
    •   6y  -  50%
    •   5y  -  46%
    •   4y  -  43%

Punch shot, smaller distances (full b/s; if you want more roll on your shot simply use zero spin and add +2y.  This comes in handy on hole positions that have some slope and full spin shots would actually back up):

    • 18y  -  50%
    • 19y  -  52%
    • 20y  -  54%
    • 21y  -  56%
    • 22y  -  58%
    • 23y  -  60%
    • 24y  -  62%
    • 25y  -  64%
    • 27y  -  66%
    • 28y  -  68%
    • 29y  -  70%
    • 30y  -  72%
    • 31y  -  74%
    • 32y  -  76%
    • 33y  -  78%
    • 35y  -  80%
    • 36y  -  82%
    • 37y  -  84%
    • 39y  -  86%
    • 40y  -  88%
    • 42y  -  90%

Full shot (full b/s;  if you want slightly less spin use zero spin and add +2/3y):

    • 27y   -  60%
    • 28.5  -  62%
    • 30y   -  64%
    • 32y   -  66%
    • 34y   -  68%
    • 35.5  -  70%
    • 37y   -  72%
    • 38.5  -  74%
    • 40y   -  76%

Punch shot, longer distances (zero spin):

    • 44y  -  90%
    • 45y  -  91%
    • 46y  -  92%
    • 47y  -  94%
    • 48y  -  96%
    • 49y  -  98%
    • 50y  -  100%
    • 52.5 - 100% full top spin

Full shot (full top spin;  Cleveland wedges like to spin therefore I prefer to add full top spin and adjust my yardages from there.  You can have 20F uphill with 20mph back wind and full top spin will not roll out).

    • 53y  -  88%
    • 54y  -  90%
    • 55y  -  91%
    • 56y  -  92%
    • 57y  -  94%
    • 58y  -  95%
    • 59y  -  96%
    • 60y  -  97%
    • 61y  -  98%
    • 62y  -  99%
    • 63y  -  100%

If you're having any problems with actually swinging the exact %'s download Kats Wind and Elevation Calculator.  Additonally it has adjustable wind settings and an adjustable swing bar with % found here:  https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8zXgJL4jcQeaEI1NHBRc2N4c1E&usp=sharing

The real trick is getting the correct adjusted distance for each shot.  Some holes are deceiving, i.e., you might be 33y away and the hole is 4F above your ball.  Quite frequently you'll only need to add 1 - 2F of elevation instead.  Good hole mappings and notes help out with that.  Anyways, I hope this helps someone lol! :D

And don't let my poor sand/scrambling % fool you ;).  I used to play a lot of UEL in my first 100 ranked rounds and had many maximum shot holes ^^.  Hate that damn red terrain rough and or bunker!!

    Cheers!  Sean

Of course, you aren't at lvl 80 and have the lower Clevelands, but some quick mapping of your own should give you enough info to interpolate his answers.

    Hope this helps,

I've brought this question up many times and I get the same answer.

The G25 L59 are the best you can get until L83+. I'm gonna stick with mine until L85+.

If you haven't already and want to upgrade and improve your game then upgrade your wedges, I'm assuming you ditched your hybrid and are using 3 wedges. Buy the Cleveland 588's. You'll get a much better short game until you get better leveling up for better irons.

I'm upgrading my wedges this week. The 588's for 1,595 each.

Thanks G. I plan on getting 3 588 wedges too. Hope you enjoy them, with that amazing spin they have.

Yes, because the ball takes a higher parabolic curve it remains in the air longer, therefor the wind affects it a lot more.

You'll see a lot more ball movement and you will need to adjust for it, especially in a cross wind. Don't let that put you off, it doesn't take long to adjust and you'll find the switch to high trajectory irons is a game changer.

    Hit 'em high!

Hello Dis (no way am I gonna call anyone Git!),

Don't forget there are already a couple of sheets regarding the Cleveland's and the G59's on the club forum.

They should add to your confusion! Actually they have been a big help to me. Worth giving them a try when you've splashed the cash.
