R1 isn't high trajectory, the other guys get more hang time so go longer.

    BMX123:

Sometimes their 5-8 yds longer that is not cool even with high flight driver and on top of it there using lower level drivers

I think it's the way you use spin. We play a lot together and have the same driver and I pretty consistently outdrive you. You can't think with an 8 degree driver the same way you do with a 9 degree. It's a low flight driver that resists wind (flies under to a degree) and handles spin differently.

Top spin adds length, for instance, if you play off a slope and that driver is accurate enough to pinpoint landings. Back spin will lift it and increase the carry with a shortened rollout. I found the greatest carry happens with 3/4 bs and use it routinely.

I use top spin-in any wind-when there are favorable landing areas. SA 17 comes to mind. I always use top spin off the tee there and look to land on the slope just past the sand. The ball kicks ahead into the fairway. CBay has 3 holes I can think of where top spin off the tee into rough gets big distances.

Rethink the way you're using the spin and trust the driver to be accurate.
