The WGT Pinhunters club is looking to add new members who enjoy participating in country club events such as leagues, tours, bracket tournaments, etc., as well as playing rounds with other club members. We have a good bunch of friendly guys who have fun playing, many of us are longtime members.

Our club's philosophy has always been that of a "teaching/learning" club, and to a great extent it still is, and we've always welcomed players from the lower tiers - we were all there once ourselves. We're still trying to progress through the ranks - we have no members who have made it to Tour Legend yet. One reason for that may be that this is not a club where you will find those unlimited play "Lower your average" tournaments that many clubs regularly schedule.

But although we'll accept players from lower tiers, a great many of them either apparently either stop playing WGT altogether or when they do play, they don't participate in their country club events. Players who rarely if ever play are eventually cut, which is one reason that although we're a Level 16 club we only have 57 members. Although playing ability is no factor at all as far as being accepted, we do expect members to be active members of our country club - that's the only requirement to be accepted. This club is not for players who join a country club just so they can have the free shot and putter pals.

Real life of course comes first and everyone has different amounts of free time to be able to spend on leisure activities such as this great golf simulation. Many of our members play in practically every club event, but that is certainly no requirement. All we ask is for is participation in some club events, or at the very least, that a member uses his free CC pass when he plays his first round of the day (if possible). There is never any requirement to play in any of the WGT Clashes.

Our league standings, schedules, tour points and averages, etc., are all kept on easily accessible spreadsheets for our club members. And we also have a very nice web page containing playing tips, charts, videos, and all sorts of other information.

If this sounds like a club you think you might like, please feel free to apply to join. I'll be glad to send anyone who joins - or is considering joining - more information regarding our leagues, etc., just send me a message.

    Thanks!

    Tom

    "Hi Tom

Good job for you guys I handed google & challonge over to Gareth instead of binning them LOL:)

I enjoyed the club but having a tyrant owner who disappears for 6 months every year (Reason understood) and then invites me to leave was a pain.

My own one is going great, inside 3 months we got all the leagues and stuff going and even managed a Ryder Cup:)

    Small is beautiful:)

What does ^^^ have to do with the Pinhunters' advert?

I agree with Gary. The advert is very well done. The OP may want to cut and paste the original and start a new thread; without the white noise...including mine.

"As one who does not even belong to a club, you are not qualified to comment. I was the one who made pinhunters the good club it is now and my efforts were not appreciated by the owner. I have no qualms with any other member I was just pointing out the facts. I don't like people stealing my thunder and I wish them all the best.

I set up a stroke play league and 3 tours for them plus a club challonge site, all of which I handed over to Gareth.

Hope Gareth appreciates the 3 hours I spent teaching him how to use google sheets and fixing his balls-ups in the league table from memory lol:)

Good luck Tom I meant no offence."

There is no need for me to be "qualified" to post in here. Just like you don't need to be qualified to post bitter, self-aggrandizing drivel.:)
