I guess expanding prizes makes some sense.

Though it seems kind of backwards for 26 - 50 to get the flags, which are hard to see, and for 51 - 100 get the more visible tee markers.

Not that most care one way or the other.

    Hi Jim

It makes a lot of sense, if they were expanded into something worth having or of some benefit. True the flags are hard to see, is that so bad? Tastefully adorned with a skull. hmmm..  More visible tee markers, very true, though not apparently to the cleaning staff who now leave pizza boxes, cannons (small) , plastic flamingoes, pool balls, beer glasses, beach balls and other assorted tat lying around without a care. If I turned up at the tee and found a couple of skulls rolling around I'd haul everybody but the coastguard out.

No, I'll take just that grey box, keep my smokes dry if it rains.

    Cheers!

    Rich

Gosh, not people mocking the wonderful incentives that WGT throw at us to play the clashes.

After all, this is a very rare opportunity we have to participate......2 weeks is a long time to wait for us, just itching to play more and more clashes.

Think of the marketing team who spent hours of debating what the next set of tee markers and flags should be......and then the programmers working feverishly to make this a reality.

    Yes they have feelings............

By rolling out the prizes to make more clubs reap the benefits is just generosity personified.

In fact, instead of playing a clash.....I think I will email WGT a long email saying how wonderful the clashes are, how fair and equitable they are, what wonderful prizes they offer and what jolly great fun it is playing with someone from another CC and sharing stories churning out the rounds.

I just cannot understand why some people complain?

They would be better employed making the players moveable within the tees instead of offering infantile trinkets. I wonder if they go to the local school and ask a class of 7-yr olds for ideas? Nah, pre-school class probably.

    True, Alan!

    This rant

is quite far off - those placing better - 26-50 - do well deserve to get the less visible epitome of ugliness, compared to the more visible one for the former positions.

For the first 25, the consolation will be, "more ugliness is better ugliness".

    SCNR Jim!

    Yep.

The truly bizarre. It looks like even with our reduced numbers and management's disavowal of clashes we're still going to get both.

I haven't spent a nickel on a clash in quite a while, but signing up for them and using the additional freebies gives the CC some XP. Free is good.

Free is relative here - most players use up balls when playing.

And, more XPs come from (18 hole) tournaments with the additional passes...
(not that you or your CC would need them!)

I feel a disturbance in the Force; the  Georgian  is not in  first  place.

Looks like we're going to end up with the flags.

I actually had a good use for the Skull tee markers. We have a competition called Survivor. It was invented in my previous club, Bridgestone, by coachjmoore. While there I took it over for a bit and had one challenge titled "Suicide Mission." The skulls would have been fairly appropriate for that. Oh well.

Hmm. The idiot prizes do have some uses. We already have the oversized Dice. One of my comps in Survivor is "Roll the Dice." Works out nicely.

Guess I'll end up using the 8 ball for Suicide Mission.

Well the Death Star took care of it by firing some type of special ray at Majestic Mountain that disabled all the mobile and I-Pad players during the last clash. Problem solved!

And yes I'm with Majestic Mountain and WGT needs to explain to us what the hell happened, some of our better players were on I-Pads.
