I agree with original post, in real golf if you slice the ball it starts where you aimed and then veers off to the right due to the spin thats put on the ball when you slice. On here it starts right and keeps going unless theres an opposite wind then it goes straight.

Also some of the putting grids are way off, dont know how many times the grid says its a straight putt and even if i ding the meter the putt veers off missing the hole.

My complaint about missed shots off the tee are that the ball starts left or right as soon as you hit it. The wind should not affect the shot until it is in the air thus your ball should still go to the aiming point until it get enough elevation for the wind to actually affect the shot.

That's exactly what I'm saying Duffer. I don't know if it's a bug or a deliberate programming decision but it's not representative of real golf.

Love to hear WGT's take on this.

I see you have the Ping K-15 level 37+ driver. While it does have very good forgiveness its precision is only so-so at best. 2 dots precision means 40% meaning that 60% of the time it might not go exactly where you aim it. And if you miss the ding on these clubs very much then the forgiveness is somewhat nullified by the poor precision. Also some of the camera angles can be deceiving especially if you only aim from the tee box. The actual aim spot looking from the tee box might be many yards from where it appears. It is best to click on one of the reverse camera angles where you can see much better where your aim spot actually is. It took me a little while to realize that and when i did my shots became much more accurate.

    Hi Born

I maybe should have said this earlier but the with issuing i'm referring i have never seen it do it with a driver or 3 wood, only irons.

I understand your point but please realise that i have been playing a wee while now and i know how to set up a shot using various camera. When my marker is 15 feet left of the pin and i slightly miss the ding by a fraction i would expect my shot to aim for that marker then veer off to the right but it doesn't it shoots of the right from the second i hit the ball.

It's my believe this has nothing to do with the precision of the clubs either having gone from k15's to G10's & i still notice the same issue.

Please don't get me wrong i love the game and community it's just a very annoying little quirk that the game seems to have and like i said i 'd love to hear what a wgt person has to say on it.

A friend is currently trying to record one of these shots using FRaps so hopefully soon you'll see what i'm referring too on youtube

I've noticed problems with aim as well. One thing I've noticed is that quite often you ding it and the ball sets off wide of where you were aiming, even when wind is straight into or behind you.

I guess we just have to listen to bogeybuster. This game is perfect, he's perfect, it's all the other players on here that can't play (our stats prove it) period. Now we just need to shoot thousands of games and the issues will go away.

Or you will eventually learn to deal with it, minimize the damage and move on.  :-)

How about you spend less time on the forums rambling about your own short comings, and play the game.  If a shot doesn't work out, don't use it again.

Secondly, why are you bumping month old threads?   Just get out and play the game, and stop flooding the forums with your gibberish!

    Just saying,

    b0gey

Didn't mean to strike a nerve, but you sure responded quick. I played with one of the nicest legends on this game the other night. He was having the same issues these guys were talking about and he is a great player. Just saying it's not always the player, he doesn't make those mistakes.
