  Agree with you on this.  I use flop much more than chip and sometimes instead of pitch.  The flop tends to push right and so once you learn what that adjustment needs to be as well as the power % , you can be very accurate with the flop.   Not saying it is better for everyone, just that once I have learned to mostly master it, it is a favorite shot selection for me.

  Actually, that's not correct. From the back tees, I've shot a 31 on the back 9 of Pebble Beach with the starter balls. You just have to learn them.

  Hit the line before the ding, the ball will go where aimed, instead of to the right.  Ball spin will not work as well as when dinging, but it will play straight to the aim.  This is the same line that you use to create a draw on drives.

  -1. It is a situational shot and often an excellent one. Something which should only be played if u're close to the green, got good equipment and are good at putting.
