Alt shot in club tournaments

  Have any of your clubs tried an alt shot tournament, and if so, what has been your experience?

  But page 6 of our advert is our Ryder Cup. The main events on there.

  The alt shot at pebble and the 4 ball better ball were a huge success, great fun.

  Only issue was of course the discos, we just had to cross fingers....and toes.

  We do run alt comps quite a bit, but always fearful because of above reason.

  Our CC has 3-4 alt tournys a year, we also use alt and best ball in our Ryder Cup style event. When they run smoothly they are some of my favourite events in the club.

  They work but can be problematic. Getting four peoples schedules in sync can be a problem.

  The people signing up for it have to be commited and determined to make it work.

  We have Alt shot games every Tue. & Wed. night at 5 pm west coast time (USA) 

  We do play against other clubs sometimes , However like paul said there are some problems getting everyone together at the same time ,  But mostly it has been a success , Our members really like it , its a lot of fun ...
