I think that's a big drop for only a third place finish. Now I am not sure if I want to play ready go's any more. Want to stay at tour master a bit longer.

Go to your scoring history and count the number of Ranked Rounds you have as a Tour Master.  Advancement to Legend requires an average of 61.00 or less and 50 Ranked Rounds as a Tour Master.  If you have saturated by playing the 50 Ranked Rounds, your average will only move down as higher scores are replaced with lower ones.  I don't think placing third in the Ready Go had anything to do with lowering your average except for the normal impact of of a lower score replacing a higher one..

Your current average is 63.64. On the 10th you shot a 28 on the front 9 at St.Andy's. That is the equivalent to a 56 over 18 holes. That is the score that dropped your average.

Nope. Coming from 65, the linear impact would be (65-56)/50 = 9/50 =0.18.

Theoretically, he might have been only just saturated and kicked out a 131 score, (131-56)/50 = 75/50 = 1.5. Alas, I don't see any.

It's more likely that the prize of the STA RG on 11/10 did that to his average, 460 cr is a lot in this respect. Add the 25 cr of the next RG and perhaps even the 50 cr from 11/07 (if not effective earlier) - "anti-sandbagging measures" do their job!

My score dropped just slightly after the 28. But I got awarded the credits for a third place finish and that's when my average dropped 1.5. Not like I have been playing good in RG's leading up to this- actually was surprised a -3 got me into a tie for 3rd? Also I know I need at least -3 in nine holes to see my average drop a tiny bit now so my high scores on my top 50 scores must be -2 since a -2 will not change my score.

That's a confirmation - the average reacts on the winnings when they are awarded. You might wake up one day and be Legend ;)

BTW, in comparison, the "match play winning" measure is tame:

0.7 off the average for one win against a L as a TM (in 2012).

I want to be legend in due time. I have finally got to the point since getting to tour master that I am playing better and getting used to faster greens. Was hoping to fine tune some more before moving up but would really like to win more credits.

Go ahead - now is your last chance to exclude the big boys from the RGs. You may also try your luck in the VT, TM conditions guaranteed until 11/30 even if you tier up in between.

For Legends, the green speed rises once more (12 stimp), and for the longer tees, the L83 G25 clubs will be quite suitable.

    Good luck, and have fun!

Thanks, what is VT? Actually had my eye on he L80 nikes that are five levels lower this month- normally L85 clubs. And a better 3W. I have green speeds figured out pretty good now and faster greens don't bother me now- I actually prefer it fast now and dread slow speeds- same with heavy wind.

I really am having fun with this game. I am thinking of buying a real gaming computer to play instead of using my iPhone6 plus- have yet to play on anything but my phone.

VT = Virtual Tour - big credit monthly games and quarterly / year-long competition, divided in tiers!

A PC should improve your game but you don't need a gaming compter - plenty memory will do ;)
