alosso: From a tee area of 5 yds width, the angle of a shot to a point in 200 yds distance varies by measly 1.4 degrees, for 100 yds distance it's 2.8 degree difference between left and right. Now you tell me what difference that may make concerning the outcome of a shot and if this justifies the effort to program it.
Impressed Paul and by my calcs, pretty accurate!
Negligible benefits outweighed by programming costs.
The biggest difference in real golf and this game is you can genuinely shape shots in real golf....possible on here if you practice but it can go horribly wrong.
In most cases (real golf) changing to one side of the tee is more of a placebo effect....the angle "appears" to improve but again, the actual change in degrees in miniscule.
B2B mentioned the chat with MisterWGT....I do recall him saying something like that but he really was like a deer in headlights and appeared to have surprisingly little understanding of the game (or the questions tabled).
I would hate to see him "chat" now.....he is so far removed, but would probably make for great entertainment.
