So today the locations won't load. One hour to play 4 holes! I got about 10 hours to finish this ready go tournament....will it happen?

Hide behind that beta tag if you want, but you should refund peoples $$$ when your game isn't playable. Fat chance on that one!

    GARBAGE!

Ignore that last two posts, the problems have been on WGT's end for weeks.  Just take a look around the forums, plenty of the top players are complaining as well. These two just love to echo WGT's lame excuse that all problems are client side related, which is total BS, and they know it.

Homer-There was a time a while ago when servers were the hot topic of a number of threads, especially as they related to your problem. Without turning this into a server debate, one of the topics was about the problem being with a particular server (I think it was the psj one.) In Firefox you could see what server you were on when you started the game (lower left corner bar) and if the game was doing like yours, closing the browser and reopening it, or switching browsers, oftentimes got you a different server.

I don't know if RGs are hosted on a specific server but try the above and see if things don't improve. Basically, when your game is running like garbage like that save it and restart, either in the same browser or another one.

FWIW none of this will do a thing if your ISP (internet Service Provider) is acting up and I see that as more of a cause than anything WGT is doing, at least on my end when it happens to me and I have a good ISP.

Well I don't really like to chime in on this issue very often....but I have an olde computer I play on all the time....sure ONCE IN A WHILE I get metered, or get a slow load time but it's never as long as I seen on these forums.

Sure this site has a few problems now and then and I expect that from time to time but I'm not going to get all upset over it.....it's going to happen.

But before I play EVERYTIME.......I clean my disks.....clean my flash caches....clean my explorer and firefox browsers....and I go into MY COMPUTER -----then go to WINDOWS file......then search down the TEMP FILE THEN CLEAN ALL THE STUFF YOU CAN OUT OF THERE THAT IT WILL LET YOU......then see if that helps.....I can play as long as I want with hardly a problem......imo more times than not it's on the users side and the machine they are using, but again....that's my thoughts.

just figured i would throw in my 2 cents.  I recently went out and bought a new computer for playing this game.  quad core processor, terabyte of hard drive, and 8gb of ram. i use high speed from the cable company, 16mb per second.  I also use this computer as a deticated wgt system, no other applications or services running in the background, and yet i still get meter issues, that is except when i use starter balls and equipment. then i get a perfectly smooth meter.  So the more money i spend on clubs on balls the worse the meter gets?  I love how it seems like all anyone wants to do is defend wgt and say it is our computers, well as i stated above, i have very good isp and system, maybe by you guys always defending wgt it just covers over the issue and nothing gets done about it.  It seems to me that its rather strange that starter equipment plays without meter problems, but when you spend hundreds of dollars it goes to chit

Well again I'm not defending WGT.....what I'm trying to say I guess is you have to figure out for yourself of what you need to do and use to play the game the best you can......

Now you just went out and bought this fancy new computer....have a higher speed internet connection than me....and your still saying it's wgt.

Look at all the computer systems out there right now.....tens of thousands of different set ups and software installed all pretty much different in the way they will work or run the way you want it.

So IMO it is up to you on to figure out what you need to do to get your system to run the way you need it to play this online game the way you will feel the most at ease with.

You might and probably have to adjust several things on your system to get it to play the way you need it to---new computer--or not,  high speed internet or not ( I play mine on a crappy DSL ),--  software that's running that doesn't need to...an so on....

This could take time for you to get it that way, it will be a lot of TRAIL AND ERROR until you get it to where you need and want to, but cleaning all the crap you might have on there EVERYTIME BEFORE YOU START TO PLAY  will help a great deal.....if no one wants to do that ....well your just too lazy and shouldn't be playing to begin with....let alone blaming the game and everything else except for your own lazy careless ways.

it's pretty much got F*** all to do with users pc's

folks can defend wgt all they like....pc's and IT is my job. i've tested playing this game on many old machines....many new machines....used a variety of graphics cards and different isp's.

there is always an issue regardless, some less of an issue than the other immaterial if it's a new or old set up.

it would seem getting a smooth meter is down to mostly one thing....Luck.

i only get meter issue at the weekends...when there's most folks playing and the servers are packed so go figure.....that is unless i have a super clever pc that only goes belly up every weekend considering i'm on it at least 12 hours a day....every day.

You are right about the luck Big Easy but what i'm saying is if everyone would adjust and play with the tinkering of the machines they have they could at least get their machines to play well 90 % of the time......but still there will ALWAYS be issues playing on line. ......and hey let's shoot around sometime easy ...haven't played ya in awhile
