I'd like to see some sort of "Tier Progression Meter" on my main page.  That way I'd know how many Ranked Rounds I have played in the tier and possibly even a little more information on my progress in my current tier.

We all have an idea that the following tier progression information is right on target so what would be the big deal of displaying a meter?

    WGT – Tiers

    • When you have played at least 5 ranked rounds - and your average score is equal to or lower than 100 you go from Hack to Amateur.
    • When you have played at least 10  ranked rounds - and your average score is equal to or lower than 80 you go from Amateur to Pro.
    • When you have played at least 20 ranked rounds - and your average score is equal to or lower than 72 you go from Pro to Tour Pro
    • When you have played at least 30 ranked rounds - and your average score is equal to or lower than 67 you go from Tour Pro to Master
    • When you have played at least 40  ranked rounds - and your average score is equal to or lower than 63 you go from Master to Tour Master
    • When you have played at least 50 ranked rounds - and your average score is equal to or lower than 61 you go from Tour Master to Legend
    • When you have played at least 500  ranked rounds - and your average score is equal to or lower than 60 you go from Legend  to Tour Legend

Notice that those minimal number of ranked rounds are also the number of best rounds used to compute your average in that particular tier. So if you are Tour Master for example, your average is computed with your best 50 ranked round (that's why you need at least 50 rounds to move up).

And yes, I know I could be keeping track of this information myself in Excel or such...but why should I have to when WGT is tracking this stuff anyway?  They just choose not to display it.

Displaying the data they track us by should be easy.  Anybody else have an opinion (on this topic LOL)?

Yes. And my opinion is it's totally unnecessary.

It looks like you play two courses: Best of Par 5s, which don't count for anything, and Kiawah.

Try playing a few other courses, and you'll get there fast enough.

They don't give away the details of the calculation, so why should they show us results in details? This would only give us a realistic impression of the grind included.

My opinion: Don't worry too much about it, just play. The progress of average ain't important. Eventually, you need 500 scores which make up a 60.000 average. Most players (like me) suffer from high scores, you suffer from a low number, as your average ain't saturated obviously. Play on, it will happen!

You should only know that scores on Par3 and Par5(!) courses do not count in. Also, I second K's advice to play other courses than KIA - this one is difficult for Legends!

Those who want to get better information must make a note of their ranked rounds # when they tier up. In your situation, with some effort, the number of scores in the mix may be calculated.

    As I'm stating...

Why shouldn't something as simple as "RRs in the Current Tier" be metered for us on our main page?  Manually tracking them, in an automated world, is ridiculous.

Obviously, they don't want to, and I gave my view on possible reasons.

Because you're the one interested in the jinformation, and it takes about 2 minutes a day to put the information into an Excel sheet.

Spot on. Players IMO should only focus on enjoyment. The numbers will follow. Also IMO none of us will get to the next tier late. There's always time.

So I take it you're still using one of these too?  Crikey it's almost the year 2017.  They give us useless "Last Shot Info" you'd think they'd give us something to go by as to Tier Progression (like hotel chains and airlines provide for us frequent travelers).  I could track my stays and flights in Excel too...but why????

So, I take it that you want them to play the game for you too?

    BUT WHY????

We can only guess but not explain why, and shouting chases us (me) away.

Ask WGT - the 100,000 cr phone call is still available (though I'm not sure about Chad, from what I heared).
