Without WGT i would not have.

    • A lot of friends in our club who i socialise with daily.
    • Lots of friends from this forum who are in other clubs.
    • A chance to play this game at a relatively low cost.
    • A chance to run events in our club which i thoroughly enjoy.
    • A chance to play rounds with folk from around the globe.
    • The picturesque views on so many holes.
    • The chance to play, albeit in the reality version, courses i watch the real life golfers perform on.

Yes there are faults but the great social aspect far outways these. I use this site to be able to hook up with our fellow club members. Seeing these folk from all around the world wishing Merry Christamas to one another, gifting sleeves and basically having fun is something i thank this site for....without it i would not have had that.

Playing can be annoying, why cant i be like Mags, how did that ball lip out, where was the damn wind on that shot. All things folk will constantly ask, but if it were robotic then to me it would be boring. Stiving to be better is good for the soul, and i think folk forget that.

But Bubbs...the negative, Half-Empty sh!t is more fun to debate.  ;-/

It's good to see this sort of attitude though...

Well said, Bubbs, but to put this glass half emply/half full nonsense to bed at long last, look at it in engineering terms.

What you have there is an over-capacity problem.

Great attitude and perspective, Bubbs.  Additionally, this game allows those of us who are housebound, or infirmed, or perhaps suffering from social anxiety, to keep in touch with the outside world.

Notwithstanding the negative attitudes and frustrations one encounters on here, the vast majority of people are great and we are all safe to speak our minds and be ourselves. Given what's on the news everyday, WGT is a safe haven from the chaos and danger we must face in the real world.

I hit two perfect shots today (dings) in 1-3 mph winds, I was aiming 2 yards left of center & one missed the fairway by a good 5 yards right & the other the same & found a watery grave BUT "Thats Golf", smile, laugh, move on, It's only a game.

It's just like the real thing, How ofton have we seen Jordan hit a "perfect" shot after he eventually hits it only to see it didn't end up where he wanted it & then he scolds Michael, "That's Golf" & the vagrancies of the wind, golf & WGT.

Never forgot how many bad shots we've taken & got rewarded after getting a lucky "Members bounce", Did we curse & say i did't mean that, give me that shot agan, We accepted the vns comments & smiled & moved on.

    Only a game, enjoy
