Has anyone else noticed the extra 2 yards on short approaches or is it my combo of the Clevelands and the free rocks?  I've had to reduce my power since somewhere around Christmas.

I've noticed that I've had to reduce my power by 2 - 3% on my 64* punch shot with FBS only recently, Use to be within a yard if i dinged it, now 2 - 3 yards long!

No Paul, been checking out the same thing today myself. Noticed things were awry as from 2/3 days ago, as using my sheet I expect to get within 3ft if I'm inside the 60 yd range. Closer still if I'm  playing from 30/35 yds. The last few days have been very erratic. I'm thinking maybe Icon has been playing with the knobs and switches again!

That depends on a variable of things..Balls,spin and hitting the ding and of course loft; But any difference in combination of these or deviation will give inconsistent distance results (and green speeds)

Thanks Ken...I'm sure others are seeing some things as well.  You're seeing what I'm seeing.

Yes Phil...Erratic...that's a good word for it.  I'm having to play the 64 & 60 with less power for sure and the 56 seems to go the stated distances regardless of wind conditions even hitting 104 yards into 5-10mph winds.  I play a lot of the BOP5 F18, B9 @ Kiawah, and F9 @ Andy's and I've had to alter a ton of my shots vs. the way I've played them for years.  AND...it seems the yardage isn't consistent the way it used to be on every hole...now some holes I can play to the usual distance as I've done for years while some holes I've had to make "permanent" corrections to the way I figure distance.

It's just been with the Clevelands and not the Nike Irons.

Your gift is what actually started me to question things and scratch my head as I realized it wasn't the original excuse of being "too many martinis".

The Callies I've had to use in "practice mode" right now as I thought I was playing an entirely different game with them. They definitely carry further, hold the greens, and bs affects them way differently as you have to be careful where you use full bs with the Cleveland/Callie combo (can get 25 yards of bs easily if you're not careful).  I'm playing like a "hack" with them Jay.  LOL

I'm sure once I get the gist of them I'll feel spoiled and wonder if I fell asleep and awoke to find out I wasn't in Kansas any more.

Thanks for spoiling me...It's much appreciated!

Seeing as you are one of the weaselly type that post abuse on someone's wall and then block any possible response, thereby denying a right of reply, I'll reply here.

If you had actually read the first three posts of this thread you would have realised that we are not hacks/ams and we do in fact know what we are talking about. Therefore your condescending post dispensing your superior wisdom was both unnecessary and nothing to do with our discussion. Hence the somewhat and warranted acidic reply. Now, if you would care to return to your den/burrow.

I think its more than that . Punch pitch and even flop shots are responding differently and I`ve also noticed alot of side spin on approach shots when using my wedges too . Usually when I start to see this happening then it means that WGT is doing something with the game .

Maybe they are adding new ball or club distances to the game or they may be tweeking existing distances and program information . Since the alleged exit of nike from the pro shop they could be working on the new club and ball replacements and as they download that information its causing fluctuations in the games response . But something is going on and thats for sure .
