When hitting into a headwind even the slightest deviation will be accentuated. If that pin had been central to the green you may have finished just a few feet right of the pin. What in fact did you was the anti-social bounce from the fringe rough.

By going direct at the flag you gave yourself no margin of error so maybe next time take the hazard more out of play by playing 10ft or so to the left of the pin. You still retain a decent birdie chance yet reduce the chance of going for a swim. My 2 drachma's worth. Illegal I know but who really cares?

    +1 Phil.

Watching the wind indicator I saw it was wavering just a bit.   I would have liked to look at other cameras before the shot to see what the wind was doing.   The fact that you came up 10 or so yards short into the wind also had a large effect on your shot.

That hole is very unforgiving, like Phil said.  I pretty much play it safely left, and am very happy to leave with a Par.  My to yen's worth (considerably worth less than 2 cents I know).

    Good Luck next time.

118 to the dollar phred. As for the drachma, that was 400 to the dollar before it was superseded by that cursed Euro back in 2002.

    VEM.

Have you ever wondered why is it that  your shot can be dead on pin on one shot and other times completely off?

As we can't bring up the ball trail when we watch.  I would have to say from the golfer view wind is also slightly left to right and into.  And if you used fbs, that makes the ball act like a ballon, and then the slight cross wind takes over.

Mistake was to not allow some right movement to the shot, by moving aim left.
