You may have seen me whine about not being able to play or see Club Tournaments on my iPhone, yet I can see and play them on my MacBook, and I just don't have the hours of practice on a laptop to be competitive. I have written WGT but not received meaningful answers or a resolution to the issue that apparently several others and I have.
I was using my laptop (MacBook) to read over the club forum and saw a new Club Tournament and decided to try playing using my laptop. After scoring poorly my first attempt I decided to give it another go- I became distracted by events here at home and without thinking I picked-up my iPhone to continue playing. Low and behold when WGT started on my phone it said it found a game in progress and needed to restart, when the App came back on there it was, the tournament I could not see or play using only my phone previously. How happy was I with this blessing? I'm still ROTFL and doing the happy dance!
In short, Go to your club (or ours-see my profile) via www.wgt.com using a Mac or desktop then view and then start a club tournament. Start the App on your phone or tablet, once the game starts on your portable device you can close the window(s) on you computer.
If you choose to play again you will need to repeat the steps- Use Computer to start Club Tournament > Start App on phone or tablet> Close computer (if you wish) > Have FUN!
One last finding- If you create a Tournament you can Only Use Courses found on the mobile platform i.e. Courses you can see on your phone, pda, tablet, if you use a custom built course you must use Holes from courses available to mobile users AND you must have an even lie or you will leave out mobile platform players
