just come back after a long time away, and wondering if the nike irons level has been lowered?

is their a major difference between the 92 and 95 irons.

also with the new box that says carry and roll and spin, has this made lower scoring possible and do people have charts for this?

    thanks

I've had both. It may be my imagination, but I feel with the L95s there are considerably fewer zoom meters. The slightly slower meter is a plus, but not earth shattering.

The 95 iron set (Nike) was the set WGT sold to level 100 and higher players. Because the Nike clubs are going away in the early spring, WGT has dropped the level needed to buy them by 5 (which they have promised to continue until they are removed from the pro shop).  I never used the 92 set but did use an earlier model that is no longer sold. I adore the 95 set and doubt if you can go wrong with either.

    I remember you. :-)

Yes, both Precision AND Accuracy went up. This is unusual because one is usually a trade off for the other-more forgiveness at the cost of accuracy and vice versa.

In the case of the 95s-which originally came out as 100s as noted above- they turned your R11s into a set that does what your 3,4 and 5 irons do now. Those 3 irons always held well with a decent ball and the 6-PW were their own thing. The first thing I noticed with the Vapors was the PW was another CG! And the 6-9 weren't far behind. They were a major improvement over the R11s simply because now ALL of the irons played like those 3 I mentioned.

I went from those R11s you have directly to the  (then) 100 Vapors and never played the other irons. This was my experience when I was where you're at with the equipment and IMO, you should go with the 95 Vapors and be done with it.  ;-)

p.s., I learned them with the old 33 Callaway which I think is the same ball you use now.,  I use the 71 Nike with them now because the carry is very close to the rated distance. Makes it easy to play by instincts.
