Flag Stick in the way when putting.

  I have had a problem with the flag stick being in the way when I am on the green putting. I hit my putt and it looks like it is going to drop in the hole and then I hear the dreaded clang and my ball remains on the lip of the hole. It does not do it all of the time but particularly on long putts. It is as if the computer does not expect me to make the putt. I think that if a player is on the green the flag stick should be removed. Anyone else have this issue?

  You mention long putts.... are you sure you weren't on the fringe?  The pin stays in when putting from the fringe.  Next time have a look at the lie indicator before you putt (if it looks like your close to the edge)

  Thanks for the reply, the times that the stick was in the way I was definitely on the green. In fact just today it happened and I know that I was in the middle of the green.
