Hi, I've been playing WGT for the past 5 days and spent some money (Not a huge amount, but enough, approx £40) on equipment and credits etc.  And I've built up a decent wee player with good equipment and up to Pro level.  Anyway, today I try log in only to get a USER_ DISABLED error.  After some investigation I found out I have an account from many years ago, which I never actually played on may I add, so much so, when I logged into this unknown account, it took me straight to the swing coach you get at the start of any account.

Wouldnt it have made more sense to disable the account never played on rather than the one that's been played on for the last 5 days and had money spent on it??

Can any please advise how I can get this rectified?

    Cheers,

    Leigh

all i can suggest is contacting customer support(link at the bottom of this page) and explaining the situation to them

an alternative would be to post on wgticon wall exactly what you put here

Good Luck, that's your only options...the problem is it made you look like a classic multi-account player up to no good.

On the surface you would think so until you go look at the profile he has now. Joined in 2010 with 1 ranked round played and that was this month. Epic fail on WGT's part.

FWIW, I had an ID when I first looked at WGT way before Kiawah came out when it was just a lame little CTTH thing. 2 years later I rediscovered this but for the life of me could not remember the log in name or password I used so I signed up as YankeeJim.  It's still out there for all I know.  :-)

I wouldn't be so sure Jim...

Anyone here really think that WGT are gonna be so 'on the ball', that they will marry up a 5 day old account with one that hasn't been touched for nearly 7 years..within 3 working days ??  ;-)))

    Has to be another reason....

If the OP gives us the username and directions to it..ie: CC joined / friends on list / WGT comps played etc..

Then things may become clearer ?

    @ the OP

What the hell did you spend £40.00 on in 5 days ?

    and probably more importantly..WHY ?  ;-))

I signed up in 2008, played here and there for a year or so, then forgot about it...

When I came back in 2013, as soon as I tried to create an account I was told I already had one! So if you used the same email you get the message....

When I first joined back in 2010 I did the same thing. I didn't know it was against the rules. I had played a couple games on the original account and opened a second one just to play with my sons and grandson. As soon as I found out about more than one account issue I contacted WGT and asked them to please remove the first one. No harm no foul. It was done immediately.

So doesn't that mean he didn't use the same E- mail address as he WAS able to create a new account ?

Thx for sharing Dan, but it hasn't made the OPs situation any clearer..  ;)

but it hasn't made the OPs situation any clearer.

After reading your earlier response I'm beginning to wonder myself. The only thing that really jumps out is why the second account was opened in the first place, especially since he can log in with the 6 year old ID.

Opening an account a dropping $50 bucks into is not a big deal for some so that amount he mentioned isn't anything. And for WGT to be nailing him that fast, they either got clued in or there's other IDs involved. Interesting.

*edit-Some curious stuff going on in the CC he joined. 5 new recruits (2-DEC '16, 3-Jan this year) that all rented equipment immediately and have zero stats! Like spare IDs in waiting? The plot thickens.....  :-D

LOL I did the exact same thing! At first I thought this game has potential.....and fooked off until I saw St Andrews was a full course in conjunction with the Open.

To this day I have no clue what that account was - I have searched a ton of potential handles but came up empty handed.

As for the OP, the whole story does not quite add up, may be innocent by not knowing the rules, so it is worthwhile contacting CS.
