For almost all players of this game, there are two main irritations.

    1. Players quitting

    2. Foul and abusive language

Ive messaged WGT on both issues. They recognise it's a problem, said they are looking at 'quitters' and say they'll investigate abusive players, will not inform anyone of the result of their investigation, and suggest we block players.

    Sorry.....that's not good enough.

Until WGT clean up their act and deal openly and robustly, I will not spend a penny on equipment or slowing down the swing rate to make playing easier (a farce anyway).

this game n site is still living 7 years ago when it was first released it truly does amaze me how they run the way they do.

    there customer service is terrible.

There social media activity is non existent.

they say they have 10 million registered players if true how come no one knows who the game is how come you tube n twitch get barely no views

though! its still the best golf game ever :)

Firstly Marky, and I am not associated with WGT in anyway, the message you are getting is a general message sent to all members in moderation.

It will be a general message advising the posting guidelines.

Quitters is an issue, particularly at lower levels. Typically gamers are more likely just to leave, whereas a golfer will persist, however some will quit as they are trying to protect an "average".

My experience is WGT will investigate players who are abusive, but without evidence (such as screen shots) it is difficult to prove and is one players word against another.

My advice is to friend like minded players and play with them, best of all be in a CC where activity is high and generally people will not quit. If you do find CC members quitting - I would report them to the owner...and if anyone is abusive, ensure you get screen shots.

When I have come across players like that, I ignore the chat and try and play my best - nothing better than a abusive player getting his ass kicked lol....

Also bear in mind, even quitters spend money, so as a business, WGT will not want to punish unless there is a clear breach of the T&C's.

And no company will disclose information of an investigation - they too are a customer with rights to privacy.

I  pay good money to play this game and if I feel my play is not acceptable to better my average I will quit a ranked stroke game. As a legend I worked very hard to become Tour Legend from a 64 avg to 60 avg moving only .01 per ranked rounds when shooting -5.

I don't quit alt shot or skins games but when you become a tour legend you have to shoot 29's just to move your average. Its wrong that WGT publicly shames you with the orange and yellow disc remove them and replace them with your CDP which mine is 1346 which is more positive out look for every one. Its time WGT revamp the way your average is calculated and STOP insulting your paying customers.

Looks like his CC owner quit himself 7 months ago.

Alanti offers good advice Marky. Join an active club and make friends with club members. You will not have to worry about quitters again. I have not played in a game that someone quit on since the very early levels. Good club mates will steer you through the ropes of this game. Many of my clubmates I have have built solid friendships with and we talk (Skype) and play together nightly. Too many new and lower level players these days are just fly by night mobile kids without a care at all about the game itself. Avoid these, make solid friends in a solid club, and have a blast!

Yep and not too uncommon. The problem is if a club has an auto acceptance for players joining, clubs with inactive owners and members can continue to grow but remain dead.

Only 14 out of 74 members have played this year, with no sign of CC Tournaments. I do not like to say leave, but there are CC's out there that are active and players really should do due diligence before joining a club.

Look for a club that will suit you - ask the owner questions, look at activity and like minded players or where junior players are mentored.

As TP says, being in a good CC will just add to your enjoyment of the game.....in my case certainly has kept me playing the game.

If you acquire a good friends list, you play mainly them and both problems are solved.

I would say you are way of base here. First off, what average are you protecting? A false average that gives the perception you are better than you really are? Are they going to send you back down a level if your "average" gets too high? There are probably thousands of players that wish it would happen to them but it isn't.

Second, that orange and yellow disc tells others how likely you are to finish the game. Anyone entering a ranked game with you can easily see that that the odds of completing a game is good, mediocre or poor. CDP is meaningless when it comes to playing a ranked round against anyone. CDP is achieved by playing as little as a single shot.

They re not insulting any of their paying customers with the current system.
