Our only one owner/officer is completely inactive.

Is it possible to take over a country club?

Is it at least possible to become an officer (without the owner), we have just 1 of 3 officers?

Unfortunately Hank, you're stuck in one of those clubs with a missing owner.  Missing owners is one reason why members leave clubs, and eventually the game itself.

I don't know if WGT ever pass on ownership to a director or active member of that club, try WGTicon for a direct response.  >>  http://www.wgt.com/members/wgticon/default.aspx

If you are lucky enough to have the reins transferred to someone responsible, you're first task should be to delete all the inactive club 'members' and build on what you have left.  If the ownership isn't passed on, you could carry on in a dead club, or leave and try out a properly run club with plenty of activity and a solid officer base.  Or you could start your own club.

You're welcome to try the Fair Play Golf Club any time. Club info >> http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/316866.aspx

    Good luck.  Dubfore

No because the owner bought the club so it belongs to them . Promotions and all decisions made regarding the club belongs to the club owner and WGT will not get involved . So the members can either stay and play or leave and start a new club or leave and find a club to join .

The club that Im in has openings we are a small but active L12 and we are looking for new members . No drama or heavy demands about using the club passes or any of that garbage . Just play 1 weekly required event and the rest is up to you to play as you wish .

If you get interested hit me up on my wall and I will send you an invite .

    Hi Hank!

Like most have already mentioned, it's going to be very difficult to get WGT, to interveine unless you can pretty much prove that the owner is either passed, or in some other way incapacited. I'd suggest that you first try and contact the owner if you have not otherwise done so and then if that fails try and appeal to wgt for assistance, but know this is probably a long shot at best.

It's a shame this happens so often to clubs, especially one with 100 members such as yours, left hanging. Once you do get things sorted out either in your present club, or in some other, I'd recommend that the owner who ever he/she might be, make sure to provide a means for the transfer of their club in advance, by giving his/her login info to a most trusted friend. This is also a tricky point as well, as wgt advises that you never ever share your ID/PW with anyone, but until sometime in the future they might see fit to add a second or assistant owner capability, little is likely to change.

I've also taken the step in my club, to post a letter of intend in our forum page, stating that I've willed the club in a certain order of suscession, should I become inactive after a given period of time. Again, not sure exactly how that might play out, but at least, it does show wgt a clear intent, just incase something should happend to me and I'd suggst that every club owner do the same for their members!

Good luck and best wishes in your effort to revive the club you are in and keep us in mind, we are always seeking active and serious members into our family.

    Hank,

Your owner hasn't played a round since last July. It looks like you're stuck in a dead club -- of which there are far too many.

Your best bet would be to get out of that ghost town and join an active club.

You've received two offers already. Make it three: I'm the owner of The Golf Masters Club, and we're always open to new members. I don't send club invites to players who are already CC members, but if you'd like to check us out and send a request, we'd be very happy to have you join us.

Been there...done that Hank.  Our CC owner went dark about 3 years ago and we couldn't transfer owenrship.  So, our most active membership decided to start a new club and just about everyone that was actively playing at that time switched over to the new club.  While we don't have any minimum requirements, such as tier, average, level or amount of play, we (Kona All Stars II) are looking for additional members that will participate in club tournaments (not necessarily clashes).  Please consider this an invitation to all members of your club that would like to switch CC to send me a request to join or a message to any of our officers.  Good luck.

    No neither are possible.

My suggestion is to gather up the active players and find a CC that is active.

In reviewing your current CC, our CC, The Peoples Club, has had more activity in the last 2 hours then the one you are stuck in has had in the entire month.
