I Guess Free Is Not Free Anymore.

After all the money I have put in to WGT and now they are charging Green Fees.

They can stick their green fees up their A$.

    Especially for a cartoon.

yeah that pretty much sums it up. I call bull s*it

JEEZ!! You people need to get a grip! What WGT has done here, essentially is add another free CTTH course. Graphics are not bad! Nothing else has changed! You have an OPTION to pay green fees IF you want to! They announced 2 new HD courses coming soon. FFS, you would think the world has ended.

What with pay to play, ball losses, health drinks etc we could soon find ourselves paying 5 bucks for an 18 hole round of VIRTUAL golf. Anyone who would pay that deserves the a55 plucking that it implies. Just crazy.............

at some point there's going to be monthly fees or membership fees.

i'd quite happily pay a monthly fee if they'd fix the ball chewin' meter etc.....and kept the good graphics,

but when folks grow tired of getting screwed over they will abandon wgt like the plague and go some other place.

Total B.S. charging a green fee.  You are going to put yourself out of business.

.....More courses was the number one request by the players

Number ONE request???? Oh really!!!!!..... That just confirms, and I quote "WGT reads all comments and suggestions" by its members and does.....etc etc etc.........Bull'pucky

I have a little proposition for you WGT, on the number one request statement. I'll double my amount of "purchased credits" (>5 bills), against you giving me a life time credit of balls and equipment.............What ya say?

Just to be clear on the subject of the "prop"......does METER ring a bell? Or has that subject conveniently been deleted?

ps....."Won't matter what it is ... there will be plenty of griping about we did or didn't get (for FREE)... just sayin"

    Jeff, you nailed that one.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. As usual we are reading all the feedback and very clearly understand that the TruGolf courses are not HD Photo quality and that green fees are not what you signed up for.  This being said TruGolf has a very high level of quality and the courses are very fun to play.  This was the best solution we could come up with to bring you more courses faster. More courses was the number one request by the players. For those who want more content.. here is a new option and one that enables you to use the same character and equipment you have invested in.

For everyone else we are flattered that you love the HD photo courses so much and we will continue to get them out for you to play for free.  We will continue to work on adding more pin positions and adding other features to increase their play options.

Trugolf is simply a new addition to the overall experience.  WGT will continue to be the best online place to play golf and you will always get free great HD photo courses to play on.

I understand what you are saying WGT. But I think having this "cartoonish" course being associated with your "HD" product cheapens the overall experience. Yeah your right, we want more courses. But (for me anyway) I don't want more courses at the expense of the HD graphics. Quality over quantity. If that means you come out with just one course a year then so be it. And if you must now charge to play a course then how about a one time fee. Not every fricken game. What happens if you get booted and have to restart. That's 100 wasted credits. Well that's my two cents. Looking forward to the 2 new "HD" course coming out later in the year. Provided they are in HD and free. Until then.

I wanted to play the CTTP before adding my own thoughts.

So done that now and sorry WGT but it's a major own goal, you mention earlier we all know trugolf from their days with the Links titles games many of us played and you couldn't be more right. The problem is that was 12 years ago.

Recently a friend and I had one of those nostalgia moments reminiscing about LinksLS Links 2003 etc and how great the graphics were. I still had the cd somewhere and a stack of course discs & my mate went out and purchased 2003. We loaded it up..................and ....oh, it's not as good as we remembered. The amazing graphics don't look quite as amazing a decade later and you know what WGT you new course looks like LinksLS 98 and is badly shown up by your own product and i know it's been said before but any business worth its salt knows you never ever water down your own product and in my eyes that's what you've done.

    QUANTITY OVER QUALITY ANYONE?

1st)  More than more courses, what I have seen your existing clients begging for is for you to fix all of the flaws in your existing programing ... such as getting adequate servers to support the current clients ... fixing all of the problems with WGT server caused disconnects without the ability to resume, except in alternate shot mode ... being able to save a hole-in-one replay even though one is playing with a partner.

2nd)  WGT isn't free no matter how much you wish to advertise that it is.  Unless one wants to play forever with pathetic beginner clubs and 'free rocks' for balls, one must either fork over cash or wade through the myriad of survey scams that supposedly offer credit rewards, but which rarely have surveys that one can take.

3rd)  And finally, as for TruGolf courses with green fees ... I'll pay to play any course at WGT when you find Satan ice skating (in other words, when hell freezes over) unless WGT addresses the existing problems instead of just creating more with more courses and advertisements.
