question is how long until WGT grasps the same concept of paying for greens. I mean we already pay for clubs, snacks, avatars, and balls. No need to pay for greens too. Next there will be a monthly service charge to play on site, bottom line is when does it end.

    TarheelsRule:

Has the full 18 on the new couse been closed?  I was just going to play all 18 and it only asks me for the front 9 now for 100 credits and I can't get the full 18 to come up.

WGT have said that the back 9 will be along next month. Just the front 9 for now.

Very easy due to the roll... but a nice course =) Not worth the 100 cr. per 9 holes though :D I would play it in challenges, seems like a great match play course =) cheers

I think I've been around longer than most. I started in September of 2008 back when only Kiawah was available for play. Then came Bethpage, St. Andrews, and then Oakmont. I enjoy all those courses and in my opinion the only improvement the game has made is the amount of courses and the pin locations. The one thing that I've liked and the reason I did not play Tiger Woods' games was the realism in this game. It's so much more realistic than EA Sports. However, when Tiger Woods got Augusta I bought the game. When I played the CTTH Cabo I felt like it was Tiger Woods. It was actually worse. HUGE mistake by WGT to bring TruGolf into this.

If it had been 5 credits then perhaps I could have understood it, but 100 for a worse product than we have already? It just doesn't add up.

Just to offer my own opinion, firstly, I think we'll be too busy playing Congressional and Royal St Georges over the next few months to be bothered with Cabo Del Sol. Six HD courses should keep us all occupied for a while.

Having played the front nine, I do honestly feel that the graphics are superior to TWO and are not as bad as some people think though nowhere near as good as HD. My main gripe is, of course, the green fees but more to do with the charge being levied as opposed to the actual principle. Still, in order to justify even reduced green fees, they would want to come up with some serious courses like Sawgrass or, dare we mention it, Augusta. For the time being, I will be only an occasional visitor to the TruGolf courses until we see what unfolds.

Even better how about one free play, via a ticket or something from WGT to let us all judge the merits of the course and the partnership.

I tend to think they are making a horrible mistake here, they are becoming what they hate......TWO.  I love the WGT for the photo quality and stay even though the meter is so very bad.  I guess if you want an alternative, we don't have to play the new TRUGOLF courses or maybe they are just trying to make more courses available quickly, TRUGOLF should have a dozen or so they can easily convert.

A new revenue stream, if they share with TRUGOLF, maybe?  I know they need revenue badly and maybe this is a step to bridge the financial impact of new courses.  IT would be nice for WGT to lay out their plans for those of us who are long time players and invest our time and money here.

3 years and still in Beta and only four courses to play on is a long time to float without much revenue.  Clubs, balls, etc. don't pay the bills, not even close and the development cost is very high, over $250k just for phots and probably that much again to convert to game play.

WELL.............just plunked down 100 credits to try this out.  Error message as I hit my first drive and no refund as of yet, this is a great way to please your members.  To the credit of WGT when I tried to play another game it did refund my credits.

wgt, read evry post on this forum, whew!  decided to play ctth.  my take on this is that two is better.   wgt is better than two, except for your new adventerious partnership.  i'm not but a tour pro, however i will give you a short fact list of my one time play on the ctth course

my 1 and only play on the new ctth course, 8 of 9 greens (worked windage backward on one hole), 1 +10 penalty, total score 181.23, closest 4.o8, furtherst 62.97, absolutly no meter issues, all outside peramiters effecting the play were to me normal, add on graphics, better than bad, but not good. play again? free i think yes, for a fee? definatly not.   i am a regular player on two as well as wgt, both have enough of something to satisfy my wants.  will continue to play both.  only wish wgt would continue as they began.  not to embark on a new adventure in golf that is much less satisfying than what they presently have.  only my nickel,

Totally absurd. If we are going to pay “green fees”..lol, then at the least make the course a WGT HD course. My goodness. Every time I turn around I have to reach for my money clip. I strongly believe WGT’s “Free” Online Golf will no longer be free in due time. It’s GARBAGE the way they advertise it as “Free” now…lol. Yes. Free; if you want to use starter clubs and gb’s the entire time you’re a member in the community..LOL. Please WGT. Give your devoted players a break. We support the hell out of your program. Don’t turn around and gouge us.

Positive note. I’m excited about Congressional. BIG props to you WGT for bringing in a fabulous course, wow!

OFF TOPIC ? You can draw ideas off this question pertaining to this thread.

Is there ANY member in the community “active” more than 90 days still using “starter clubs and gb’s” and has not purchased 1 item form WGT? By “active” I mean playing daily. J hmmmm Free. I tend to disagree

Spent 2 bucks for 2 rounds....-5 and -4. Had fun with some friends. It was good to play something different and we enjoyed it. Isnt enjoyment what this whole game is supposed to be anyway? Thanks for the change WGT. For those that dont like the graphics or the 1 dollar green fee, just dont play the course. There are good HD courses coming so just wait for them.

I dont like the green fee as much as the next person but I had a go, and I do hope WGT dont put a green fee on any other courses. At the end of the day, we have the choice to play or not play courses with green fees and ordinary graphics. I didnt have anyone twisting my arm or forcing me to play.

There are issues in the game that need attention of course, but I congraulate WGT on still supplying the finest golf game ive ever seen.
