I just want to add another angry voice to this thread.... WGT Are you really serious with this??? I hope you see by the amount of pissed off responses to this thread in such a short period of time that you kinda screwed the pooch on this one.....Now...are you willing to admit it and move forward towards recovery??? You have already made some amazing courses...why cant you get your collective balls out of whatever apron they are hiding in and finish the courses you have already started yourselves???

I'm looking forward to Congressional....it won't cost me anything other than the usual skewed callaway and the graphics look superb.

I'll save my dollar per round and play an extra round of real golf at the end of the month.

I've spent tons on clubs and balls.

The shots don't even look realistic going down the fairway half the time.

I will donate --- 10 sleeves of WGT B-XD balls to the winner.

With about 240 negative votes .. that's probably less than 1% of the regular playing population that was upset enough to write in.     Not sure I would change my business model on that.   Especially when you don't have to play.

Look for the results "on the far turn" ... coming tomorrow evening when i add to the totals.

PS.  Good thing Faterson or Charlemagne are not active lately they would be the heavy favorites.

i think i'll cut wgt some slack. i've put my point across and to be honest Chad's responded.

i've only been a member just under a year. no one's forcing me to pay green fees....so i still have a choice.

there are other things i'd like sorted out re....new pin placements on the courses we already have and dare i mention the meter.

but we have 2 new free courses coming along soon.......so i'll sit back and watch the story unfold and let people get on with their thing.

i'll remain a loyal fan of WGT and a proud member of such a great community of players.

    respects to you all.

    <=EDIT=> I just saw Ivietri's donating 10 sleeves.

I honestly believe we, as a community of loyal and devoted members, have more than made our point, according to which the new course and its associated green fees are a disgrace and an insult. As for the wild speculations about WGT's ulterior motives, I let WGT answer for itself (in NEWS) :

"The TruGolf courses are optional courses on WGT that address requests from experienced WGT players for more stroke-play courses. The 12 existing WGT courses and other new WGT-produced courses will continue to be free of charge, including the upcoming Virtual Open courses this summer."

    That is crystal clear.

Personally, I feel that those new courses (judging from the current one) are perhaps fit for Shot. They are not even worthy of TWO, let alone WGT. They should be cast outright where they truly belong : in the garbage.

What about those who put quantity before quality? Let them rush in throngs to the lesser golf competitors, where courses abound like flies on sh*t!

Now that WGT has built up a decent userbase, it would not surprise me one bit if the game is sold out from under us to one of the cartoon companies. After all, WE are the commodities here!
