    Robert1893:

In fact, depending on what they replace the Nike balls with it, I'll probably switch over to the Truvis when the Nike balls are gone.

May I ask why Robert?  I know it's tempting to go for a ball with better specs but that L81 Nike costs more than twice what the L33 Cally does.  And once you get to know it you'll find it plays just as well.  A few yards here and there don't really make much difference to your scores.

If you have an ample supply of free credits or are wealthy enough to just buy as many as you want then I obviously retract my question.

This isn't meant as any form of attack, please don't take it the wrong way.

    @MainzMan

You're good; I would never take anything from you as a personal attack. You've always been very respectful.

I agree that the Cally L33 is a great ball. I played it for quite a while and had good success with it. But I've gotten to the point that, if I want to score really well, I need a ball with a bit slower of a meter. The L33 is just a touch too fast for my reflexes. Again, I can score decently with it and have an occasional very good score. But with the Nike 81 or the Truvis, I gain more consistency in scoring as well a bit higher frequency of low scores (i.e. sub 30 rounds). For whatever reason, I want to get to Tour Legend tier.

Additionally, right now, credits are not a problem for me. Not only am I done with buying clubs for a quite a while, I have built up a lot of credits over the past few months. So, I could probably go another 6 months without earning any credits and still have enough to keep buying the Nike L81 balls or the Truvis. It's a good position to be in.

Yeah, the meter speed is the only thing some might have against the L33 Cally I think.  I'm OK with it, hopefully by the time I'm not I'll have finally dragged myself away from here........

I find I can get very few free credits, I get mine through my mobile.  The options just aren't there for those of us outside the US.  Can't moan though, it's still cheap for the number of hours fun it offers.

My point is that the Nike's give some more "Bang for your Buck" compared to the Callaways when you look at  the performance / cost per sleeve.  Or offer higher perf than the Callys do for more credits, as we all know.

I can't agree with you on the more preformance/cost I'm afraid phred.

I use the Cally L33 which when you divide the cost, 250 credits, by the total attributes, 11.5, comes out at 21.74 credits.

The Nike RZN Black comes out at 42.17

    The L40 RZN is 41.38

The L61 you mentioned is better but still 35.71

The best value Nike I could find is the old L48 ball at 29.63

The Cally Truvis though is 44.64

Whatever they do I hope they don't drop that L33 Callaway, it's been one of the best buys in the pro shop since it was just about the best ball you could get.  Albeit under a different name.  And then another name.

    Hey Damian,

I agree fully that the L33 and L43 Callys offer the best value in a brand name ball (each @ 21.74).  The L45 Legend+ is also good value, at 25.00.

For anyone that had to go to a 3.5 meter (or slower)  ball, when you compare a Nike L61 to a Cally 34, you get more with the Nike.  That was my point.

My hope is to eventually get back to playing with a L33 or similar 2,5 meter speed ball.  I wouldn't think they would do away with the L33, probably the best seller on WGT.

Hi 'em where you're aiming Mate.

I have to come out in support of the Lvl33 or 37 Callys. Good value for the money and more manageable backspin than the Nikes.

Although I 've been tempted to try the Truvis, the cost alone put me off. At the moment I'm using the much overlooked and underrated Volviks.

They last longer and have a .5 slower meter than 33 or 37 Callys. And come in yellow!

    Cheers!

    Rich.

Gee, I guess I've been doing it right all along:

    WGT Legend GI2-SD2:  18.24

    WGT Legend GI-SD2 :   17.34

    WGT Tour SD:               11.82

And the winner is(and its not even close):

    WGT B-XD:                    2.83!!

Spin is overrated. Long live the B-XD!!!

    Well..

Currently I have the wgt starter steels. I bought the Nike BlackLine L 90 balls. With the simple clubs you can play excellently. Landing like a stone and the distance is also ok. Only with better clubs too much distance and spin.
