9 under on the best of par 5's front nine, and my average went from 68.87 to 68.95.  WTH is that all about?

best of par 5's. 9 under par = 36.  Half your ave is 34.4  . so it goes up.

I guess it's based on your score not your under par total :)

So in theory the best way to get your Ave lower would be to play the par 3 course

I thought the Par5/3 courses didn't affect ya average or has that changed recently?

Funny thing is that I checked his score history and saw no -9 on best of par 5 which would be 36. Saw  a -7 38. The only 36 I saw was an even par 36 on Olympic b9. That would compute to a 72 which would raise his average. Why why even worry about his average? If he played a lot maybe but he had played less rounds in 3 years or so than I have played since last since last summer. And I don't actually play all that much.

    Hi

Not really the point I know but I'd be more than happy to shoot a -9.

    Sod my average!

    Cheers!

How could one be here 8 years and not know this ?

Because she is so damned good and probably has never noticed - most players playing par three course card the same score as she cards on a par four course!

But Paul is right, Par 3/5 course are excluded from an "average" but all stats do.

However red tee tournaments do count towards averages......WGT got that sooooooo wrong.
