Not really the point I know but I'd be more than happy to shoot a -9.

    truckndad:

9 under on the best of par 5's front nine, and my average went from 68.87 to 68.95.  WTH is that all about?

    1) When you went to Tour Master from Master your average reset and updated when you shot your first ranked round as a TM.

    2) A ranked round is any Full 18, Back 9, or Front 9 stroke play on a course such as St. Andrews, Merion, etc.

    3) The "Best of Par 4" course counts as a ranked round because it has a Par of 72

    4) The "Best of Par 5" & "Best of Par 3" courses don't compute into your average because they're not Par 72 courses.

    5) A ranked round Front 9 or Back 9 score needs to be doubled in order to correctly calculate your average in with the Full 18 ranked rounds.

I went into your score history and pulled out the 38 ranked rounds that count towards your average and entered them into an excel spreadsheet. (see pic below).  Right click on the pic and save it and you should be able to zoom to see how your average has gone since you made it to Tour Master on January 3rd.  I didn't enter all the information but (hopefully) you get the idea.

Hopefully you understand how the average was calculated.

    Peace,

    Paul

    Well done Paul!

Only, in 12 rounds, saturation will change everything to non-linear calculations, making a mess of your sheet ;)

    A,

What I do after saturation is start dropping the highest RR from the above entries so the calcs are ALWAYS spot on.  The double column I don't use in the calc so I just merely remove the 9-hole score or its equivalent (if you play an 18 hole round and score a 67 then the 9-hole score gets recorded as 33.5).  This way I still have a record of what I shot in a round.  See what I mean?

I guess I should edit my post to discuss saturation at his tier.

Some Pauls, like you and I, know about it, but for others, it might be strange matter!

How could one be here 8 years and not know this ?

Because she is so damned good and probably has never noticed - most players playing par three course card the same score as she cards on a par four course!

Guns of the game are rarely seen in the forum now,  I can see why.  Right or wrong we should have some respect for them

Didn't want to post the whole reply but it's a great one, taught me a few things.  Never stop learning in this game    lol
