    WoodyJeep:

Putt of 15 ft on the 30 foot meter = 37.5% on the meter, not 50%.

You have to figure slope and distance of putts while considering the green speed of the green you're on.  Then I come up to the number of feet I want to putt.

But keep in mind, the dumbest thing about this video game; the 30 foot putt meter is a 40 foot meter.  If you want to hit 30 feet it is only 75% of the meter.  If you want to hit 40 feet, it is 100% of the 30 foot meter.  The other putt meters work the same way.  I play with a sheet in front of me where I have already converted the feet into meter%.  All of the putt meters work this way.

Not sure how to interpret this...care to clarify? Are you saying that in order to hit a putt 30 feet in distance, you would use your 30 ft meter and hit it 75% of that?  Is this supposed putt downhill? Uphill?  What speed of green?

Your statement of "Putt of 15 ft on the 30 foot meter = 37.5% on the meter, not 50%." seems to only apply on Championship 13 green speeds for me (effective distance = 11 feet, or 36.5% of a 30 ft meter), assuming that you mean a flat putt.

The only green setting that would cause you to hit harder than the indicated distance (e.g. more than 50% of a 30 ft meter for a 15 foot flat putt) would be Standard or below (anything below 9.0). Or an uphill putt, obviously.  On a T-12 green speed, that same 15 ft putt would have to be at least 4 in uphill to have an "effective" distance of more than 15 ft.

    How to improve ?

Read the forums.  Watch tutorials on UTUBE & Practice. DONT get bogged down with math !

Do NOT buy nice balls, they go away ! Buy clubs instead !  When you

are done with them you can sell them back at 25% of list price ( but not the starters) & you

keep them as long as you wish.  Get clubs with spin. Spin is NEEDED for close in shots

like pitch, chip & flop. To finance everything do surveys. I have 30K + in credits & the best clubs 95% from surveys.

If you do buy balls stay with the low priced ones in the 100 CR range. I still use them just to

    get a little more spin.

    LFOD !
