I have played in quite a few games recently where all my opponents quit and I have to forfeit or play the remainder of the game alone. Does my forfeit hurt my stats, and I so, what can I do differently? Thanks

I cant answer that question, but on the same subject, people who are losing badly will always quit games, its the way life is at the moment if you cant win give up.

I see many responses to people who quit, on their wall. However if you are a Master upwards and you accept games with hacks and amateurs what do you expect them to do, when 8 down after 4 holes.

My problem with the better players playing the newbies is the abuse they then give off here is a sample from one player :

    Thanks for quitting LOSER...!!"

ya froze the game for the rest of us who DONT quit...LOSER...or do you prefer QUITTER ?

     "Wake up Sal...!!"

Is this acceptable, I for one don't think so, I agree its annoying but to start giving people abuse is not needed. We should be trying to encourage them to see the games out.

Best answer is to make friends and play multi-player only with them, not random players.  This problem will never go away, so either avoid it or live with it.
