The problem isn't that the 60 degree is too long, it's that it's doesn't have the correct attributes assigned. It plays more like a 56 it seems for the most part.
When dropping power below 90% I'm not sure what it's acting like, not a wedge that's for sure.
Hitting it 100 to 90% it does hit okay, where you would expect it to with no spin.
FTS pushes it 10yrds longer almost. FBS does what you'd expect it to.
Chipping is actually very nice with the 60, once you get used to the over power.
Flop shots from the few I've hit have been nice, just dropped onto the green and stopped. That seems to work okay.
I'm not going to try and dial the 60, 56 in anymore as I expect they'll be modified soon.
Whatever you do, make sure you get the numbers right when dropping power because as it stands now, the 12.00 versions are useless shooting anything under 90% on FS. Pitching is the opposite, too much power.
My observations with the 12.00 60 / 56. When you hit the 60 at 95% it plays very much like the higher ATV's do. When you ding the shot, aim is right, accuracy is great.
I use the 64 ATV and the 60 works well as the second wedge, meter aside, they play very similar in how the ball releases, again when hit near full power.
They seem like they could be nice with the right numbers plugged into them.
