This is obviously a glitch on their end because it will cost them considerable income if it stayed this way, Our CC runs multi round tournaments and makes the first round 5 or 7 days in order for more players to enter and increase the pot of the premium ones, which WGT gets a 20% cut of.
We also run some that are unlimited first round and then limited following rounds. That would be a lot less ball hits cutting that opening round to less than half the days.
Opening rounds of 5 or 7 days also give MORE players more time to enter a tournament, no matter what format of play. More players entered equal more ball hits.
Our club championship runs 12 months on 12 courses, single play, 7 days for each 9 holes so that all members have a chance to card a score and not have to play a full 18 at once. Having to make this two separate tournaments and manually scoring it will be a big PITA.
This does nothing but LOSE MONEY for WGT in many ways so I would assume a quick fix. Then again, when they skewed all the details on the CC home page tournament board after the "Custom Course" update, it took a month to get it back to normal.
