I always put a full spin on the ball. Does this affects the ball in flight in terms of distance? thanks
Not by much with your equipment in any conditions......See search button on mapping or just say Kia 1 and whack away in a low cross wind.
I will do the search as you suggested..thank you
Sure it does. High flight iron into a headwind with full back spin is definitely going to knock the shot down. Conversely, with a tailwind it'll stay up longer and be more affected by the wind.
The answer is yes

I am not familiar with the irons you are playing, but I had L59 Pings from L59 to L85, using the L33 Calaway ball. They should have had a longer carry with full back spin and a tailwind, but I found them to come up way short under those circumstances. At first, I even hated playing those clubs. I had to add 5-10 yards to every shot. Finally I figured out that if I used closer to 90% back spin, they would play true to the distance I expected them to play. After I finally realized that, I really liked the irons. They are the only club I have used that play so short with full back spin. All other clubs have played as I expect them to.
Thanks for all the information. I had the Ping iron L59, sold them and bought back the irons I'm using now. I like these much better, but I'm waiting to level up to get the Max iron L94.
Play a practice round , and try all 3 , Full back spin , Full top spin and no spin ,, Take a mulligan on each shot ,, I found that no spin on my driver goes the farthest , Back spin will carry farther but will stop sooner , Good Luck..

Yeah I think that's what I need to do.
