Old CC wanted to charge $39/month - Looking for a new club

  My old club ran a great website, and rented out a private server for teamspeak. The only thing we ever asked for was donations. Both needed funding to keep them going, and the donations certianly came in for it. 

  But that was totally up to the members if they wanted to donate anything. 1 dollar, 2 dollars, nothing, it didnt matter, as it was absolutely voluntarily.

  After the site and teamspeak was paid for, any funds left over where put into tournaments etc. Receipts would be posted on the site so members could see where the money was spent.

  But this folks, this takes the biscuit big time. Asking for volunary donations is one thing, but telling members they will be booted if they dont cough up is just plain wrong. I hope WGT do something aout it, as it could set a dangerous precedent.

  We recently had a big credit tournament that was free to all members to play. Myself and another director came up with the idea after saying "I'll put up 5,000 credits" and "Okay, I will too". Then I thought maybe we could make an even bigger pot if we got a few other members to donate to it, so I put the word out only to veteran and top level members, and other directors. Without a tool such as the phantom "CC Bank", I had donations accepted in increments of 550 credits only. That is the cost of a sleeve of balls I use. Then I added all the donations to the pot when I created the tournament. I have a crapload of Nikes now and quite a few less credits, but hey. work with what the system gives you.

  To have the gall to extort $39 a month from your members is beyond comprehension. His profile page says it will go into an "investment fund". LMAO

  I think asking them for 39 CENTS a month is grounds for never being heard from again.

  Totally brutal. Rather put the $39/month towards payment for some real golf, beer or whatever! Kudos to Clifton for leaving that CC.

  Check out the latest "Recent Activity" on the clubs home page. Does he have a multi in place to take over ownership when the boot strikes?

  I used to play for H2L, I was a top 10 contributor, about 150,000 XP. I got out long ago purely for the reason I ended up playing to satisfy the club and not myself.
