WGT doesn't really seem to have a clue of what they are doing anymore...

Sad day indeed. Sucks when you won't know day to day what courses will still be available.

Really loving this new bow tie avatar ... save for the fact it doesn't even look like that in game! Struggling to decide if it looks like a skunk or a character from the Royal Tenenbaums. Another bang up job WGT, maybe someone from QA should have looked at the damn thing in game!

WGT keeps coming up with clownish items in each upgrade that only serve to make the game look like some Coney Island arcade game.  First it was "cat" balls that apparently "meow" when struck.  Now we have some dope in a bow tie to use as an avatar.  Whoever said WGT has declined since TopGolf took over is absolutely right.

So what else happens ?  We get these clownish features and lose one of the best courses on the game, Oakmont.

Also since TopGolf took over, look how much more expensive equipment has become.  Where did they learn customer service ?  From Mr Haney on Green Acres ?  Their version of "customer service" seems to be, make your customers pay more and give them less.

So all the time, effort and expense they went through to photograph and then create Oakmont they just basically throw out like it's yesterday's garbage ?

It also should make everyone pause and ask....how many other course agreements is this place going to let expire thus eliminating more courses from the game ?

Keep it up WGT.....and soon you will have the serious players dropping this game like it's the plague.

In all my years with purchasing stuff online, or joining sites for gaming or whatever, WGT has absolutely the WORST customer service that I have ever experienced.  While I do give them kudos for answering email complaints (the very least they can do), in every other aspect of customer service, they S U C K.

And it's a shame....because it's the best virtual golf game on the planet...and it seems like they are going out of their way to destroy it.....

I don’t know how anybody can read this without laughing.  How sad.

In summary, they removed a US Open venue from the game to save money then invested some of that money to have a developer add an unrealistic tuxedo wearing Avatar.

It gets better...they're desperate for you to help them with marketing.  SO desperate that are willing to open their pocket book to throw you a couple .37 CC passes and a cheap golf ball if you get it done.

This business plan will go down in infamy.

News flash, the game will market itself if you stop removing courses and adding "kids’ stuff". No grown adult is going to recommend this game to a friend when the cat ball pop up is prominent.

Its a total and utter tragedy about Oakmont, and hard to know why, as its a US Open course?

We need more courses, not less.

A real kick in the teeth for WGT players.

Hard to imagine the game without Oakmont.

BRING BACK OAKMONT - whatever it takes.

Like many here I have an addiction to the game,  I applaud WGT in deleting Oakmont.  You are doing what I have trouble doing,  helping end my addiction.  I just wonder how many of us will be around after you lose a couple more courses?  Your customer service department is finally doing something positive, removing the ADDICTION.

    Oakmont Country Club

Our agreement with the course has ended, so it’s no longer playable on WGT.

What will happen now with a clubs "saved custom courses" that have an Oakmont hole on them? Will they have to be edited before they can be republished and go live again?

    A very good question.

If the Oakmont holes vanish, I'll delete my 2 courses and give up on the whole Custom course malarkey.

"Release notes" really?  Sounds more like "Unrelease notes"

Was anything attempted to be fixed??

Customer Service claimed there would be a few enhancements to help get around some of the multiplayer bugs that exist.

Sorry to see Oakmont go as it was a tough test and is an iconic course.  That said, looking forward to seeing and playing Erin Hills, it now has big shoes to fill.
