  That brings back memories. Back around 2003 my son nailed a smaller bird with a 3 iron shot while we played an interclub tourney in Barstow. The poor thing was bleeding and flopping around on the fairway. Only thing we could do was put it out of its misery.

  Good thing that wasn't a sea gull in Canada. Dave Winfield did that to a gull in the old Skydome in Toronto on a throw from the outfield and got in some serious trouble for it. Apparently Canadians love their sea gulls enough to protect them as a migratory bird.
