Just finished a round at Erin Hills. Opponents were a TM, another Legend, and a TL.

After I holed a long birdie, the TL accused me of using a "scale." When I asked if he was accusing me of cheating, he wrote, "you know what you did."

If that was gamesmanship, it worked...Yep, I got pissed off, bogeyed two down the stretch and the guy and I ended up tied at 1 under.

But please, what the hell was he accusing me of doing? I really don't have a clue.

For the record, I'm 72 years old, have been playing golf since I was 6 years old, and this is the first time I've ever been accused of cheating. And yeah, I'm a tad bit annoyed.

I'm fairly certain a scale is something to be stepped on, then biatch about how faulty it is...

The guy was a clueless idiot, don't let him spoil your fun.

You are milder than I am with some of the dkheads out there.  I would have strung him along.

    I have no real clue.

Now I did see mention of a certain player (used to be T but now H) who purportedly could put a putt in from anywhere at will - I hope that main forum remark is fairy dust based.  I genuinely can't remember if the person making the comment was a sensible person or not.

Only scales I know of are what you get with a putter (e.g. 15, 30 and so on increments), and some might call putter pal a scale of sorts......................

By the sounds of it you just got a sore loser.  Best to leave at that and let them get on with their piffling little life.

Don't be annoyed my friend Bill. You obviously got into an A hole. I have been accused of cheating many many times, but i don't lose my nerve with these morons. Used to have fun instead with them.

''Scale''? Yes pal, i use not only scale but all sort of stuff:

Trianglometer, speedometer, breakometer, holometer and of course the one and only magic sphererometer....

Cheers Bill!! Don't piss off with them, just nail them and bye bye!!

I get these players everyday. They have a lot of tricks to try to piss you off, when they're losing. I just block them and go on playing my game, most likely it'll in forfeit anyway.  Don't let anyone spoils your day.

Heh, knowing full well you weren't doing anything wrong, I would have taken a page out of Yiannis' book and jerked him around. "Yeah, I've got a scale and I'm beating you with it."  LOL
