matchplay affect on avg stats tier

    i have been playing since oct 16 i reached tour pro end of nov .and my avg was 74 , at that point i sterted playing mainly match play since that time my avg has not changed i am still tourpro and my stars arent reflected in my overall stats profile page despite playing 5 or more matches a day

    In total, you have 90 Matchplay wins against higher tiers - a few of these should have dropped your average.

    OTOH, your strokeplay scores are - ehm - horrible - hardly any scores below 40 (=80). I'm afraid that you aren't prepared to advance yet. Mind you, Master tier comes with longer tracks!

    Do MatchPlay rounds count towards StrokePlay average?

    Some do, when won in rated or challenge mode against a higher tier.

    This has been one of the measures against sandbagging for almost five years.

    So, since rarely does a MatchPlay match end with both players putting out on the last hole, not to mention any conceded putts during the match, how is the total number of strokes determined? Do they pull one out of their a....uh...er...out of thin air?

    Of course, strokes do not count. It's the fact of a win which may lead to a drop of average up to 0.7 (absolute) AFAIR.

    i totally agree however it would be nice to view my stats from match play somewhere i can only see stroke play stats and as u said those are eh um horrible

    I don't think so.

    1) The OP wouldn't have wondered that nothing happened,

    2) I once read that the effect dwindles with the number, perhaps down to naught.
