  I just hit a r9 #3 wood... with a bit off it... and it either finished on the green above the hole... or in the fringe rough... works for me with the z star, calloway balls.

  My other tip is that tiered green... add a yard of distance

  Green speed for me is tournament... breaks are slower and friendlier than Oakmont of BPB...

  My best round is 64... at the time I was a shot above the cut... but I think the course is very fair.

  Not the best way to play 5 but nice when it works-leaves you 60 out. Heh-Sometimes the meter helps.  ;-)

  Question for the legends.....Has anyone made the second fairway on 17 with a nice tailwind?  It looks like it rolls downhill pretty fast, but that rough.....

  I made it to the 20-25% rough just short of that fairway.  I had a 5mph tailwind, but I also mishit it a bit, so it can be done.  the ball bounces down that hill fairly easily.

  I've played my R9 3W to 3' on #2.  I also have left it 30' short and way right or left, also beat it well past.  The only way for me to get there is with a full 3w and the only way to hold is with full bs, so I hit that pretty much every time and hope the wind gets me to but not past the hole.

  Anyone know why most times I find the water on my approach to the 18th I lose stroke and distance and am lying 3 at the same spot as I hit my last shot, but sometimes I get a drop in the rough just 40 yards from the hole?

  i know right...shouldnt that be a drop line of flight no closer to the hole???? guess its just more of the realistic game

  Sorry, I previously said this was for hole #15. It is actually 2nd shot on #11.

   

  Dont try and fly it all the way. Has to land short of the hill and roll up. Aim to land it 3 or 4 yds left of flag as green breaks left to right.

   

  Had 231 tonight with 13mph wind helping from 7 o clock. Hit my 220 yd iron with 2 notches of backspin. Landed  just on green and Rolled up the hill and finished a yard from the hole.
