I joined up sometime back in 2015, played for a couple of months, then disappeared until about 5 months ago.  I've been playing regularly averaging about 6 games per day (most of the time more than that) between different types of games.

Hack, Amateur, Pro, Tour Pro level movement and averages have been pretty consistent.  Master level though has me a little perplexed in the averages.

I levelled up to Master a little over 2 weeks ago.  Have been playing regularly, a lot of match games but also a lot of stroke and alternate shot games along with some tournaments here and there.  What I noticed is levelling up seems to be pretty consistent although as would be expected, points to move from level to level have increased, taking longer to level up.  However what is bothering me is average.  I've beaten the crap out of many levels of players including tour legend, legend, tour master, etc.many a times over the past few days (gotten my butt kicked as well) but my average has remained 67.65 and not budged.

How exactly does the averages work and is it normal for my average to stay put for a long time even though winnings have been pretty consistent?

The only thing that moves your average is ranked rounds-stroke play rounds that show up in your score history. You have to finish a round for it to post.  Par 5 and Par 3 courses don't count.

Nobody outside the WGT offices knows exactly how it works ;)

We know, though, that only ranked Strokeplay and rated Matchplay count, while Par3s, Par5s and Custom courses don't count. Just for clarity: Neither does any A/S.

I see that your stroke scores aren't too low, a 32 and a 33 will have counted recently, and you have two total wins against Legends and 10 wins against TMs.

The Matchplay part is the least known grounds for us - no predictions.

In strokeplay, the development depends on saturation - search for that.

So, at the moment you may have to rely on scores of 35/70 or lower to see further movement. But, there's quite a road to go to arrive at 63.00 for the next step.

My two Pfennig: Don't worry, don't hurry. Enjoy the game and all of it's facets and courses and learn for the challenges to come.

    Have fun!!

thank you both.  certainly not complaining, just movement, movement, movement, then dead still for the past few days even though levelling up still occurs.

I'm enjoying the heck out of it.  Looking forward to learning the back-of-the-hill ricochets you more experienced guys use from the black tees.  :-)

    Thanks

If your club forum doesn't explain how to tier/level up, you're in the wrong club.

That is truly a crock of shiite. You should be more careful of what you say about other clubs. Would you be keen on seeing a remark like this about yours? With no validity? With no basic fact that a new user/member has even discovered or learned the club forum yet? I doubt you would take too kindly to a baseless remark like that made about your club.

    Cheers
