Doesn't make it a very good game if you can only play against friends.
How do you make those friends in the first place?
More and more people are disconnecting because they know that they have a chance of winning. I have had some try it before even pkaying a shot because they are a Pro and I am a master.
The main problem is that customer service don't listen, and they can tell what the score was and at what hole the disconnection happened, so if I was 4 shots up, why would I disconnect?
This seems to be a huge problem on the mobile app. Regardless, WGT is not going to change how it is treated. Disconnections also happen that are not caused by a player choosing to do so. WGT has no way to tell why someone disconnects...choice or a problem. So they will not punish players for disconnecting.
If you want to make friends, try joining a Country Club. I have made friends both through my CC, with other people I have met on the WGT Forum, and playing AS and MP games. It's easier if you are playing on PC instead of Mobile, I guess.
If you are interested in a small, friendly CC take a look at the one where I'm a member. It's called Fair Play Golf Club. We have a mixture of free and paid entry fee tournaments, and we have a handicap system we use for some of the tournaments to help level the playing field between the tiers.
Anyway, just like in life, friends can be found here if you make the effort.
Enjoy the Game, and hit 'em where you're aiming.
