Why is it at times that I am losing golf balls, when the ball hits the fairway.
a ball only as so many hits on it,once all used you lose ball
Also there are instances where an adjoining fairway is out of play for the hole you are playing.

Does the message say lost ball or does it say ball taken out of play? If it says ball taken out of play that means the ball simply wore out and cannot be used again.
