Everywhere I look I see less participation .

That amounts to less ball sales . less equipment purchases .

Absolutely Right, this week because of the Glitches my club cancelled a Round/robin match play competition Each one of us would have used several Sleeves of balls playing in it.
I told my members not even to play it. I don't want them buying passes

    SHIFT + ENTER.
That's what I thought I remembered, but figured I was wrong when I...

    ScottHope:
hold shift and hit enter twice to get that.
    ... tried it there.

There is no denying that this has hit WGT hard . Those of you that do not think so . Are not being realistic .

I would bet my paycheck that this is getting round the clock 24 / 7 attention .

I am not so sure, maybe I am not realistic, but the WGT track record revolves around revenue, not the users ability regarding the functionality of the site, or even to play the game free of glitches.

I am not saying there is no correlation between the two, there clearly is, however unless WGT see the direct connection, fixes become secondary to revenue raising.

I cannot comment on the previous clash statistics - I do not look at them at all as I generally avoid playing when they are on and have zero interest in them. However, the general feeling is these have been on the wain, but again, I have no stats on that, but WGT's attitude is milking some players is better than milking none.

But if the engineers (cough cough) had been working around the clock on a fix, then why do we have another clash on? Even these take some programming, and would it not be a moratorium on ALL development until fixes are found and tested (hmmm, that QA process that is not evident or missing from the WGT vocabulary).

I agree with your post otherwise, and that of others, but you are being way to lenient on WGT for giving them any credit. Actions are far stronger than words.....I have seen zero action, and virtually zero words on the progress. Such are the joys of a virtual monopoly........

This got me thinking Al. Dont they have to put the site down for a fix to be tried? Has anyone seen any notices of downtime in the last 3 weeks of this happening? If the site does have to go down for a fix, then im afraid they havent even tried. EDIT: Maybe im wrong, and they are working on something. And they just want to make sure before they put it down and make things worse. But 3 weeks is a looooonnnng time.

They can use a hot fix, this can be implemented without downtime. Perhaps they implement 2 or more clashes in one downtime to run withing the time-frame specified.

What does perplex me, why can't they revert to the backed up version immediately before the subsequent (corrupt) version that was released?

To my knowledge they've never done this. I suspect that they can't/won't do backups.

Nor do they seem willing to test updates prior to installation.
