Hey there organizers.  I just wanted to say first of all, thanks so much for getting this going.  Sounds like an exceptionally fun tournament and really the best tourney there is.  Also wanted to say that i really like the idea that you are going to include more than just one monthly tournament for the qualification.  With 8 rounds played instead of 4, you get a better average and are more likely to end up with the most consistent and best players...Me saying this has nothing to do with bombing my first round for a 69 ;- /

    Cant wait!

Does anyone know how many rounds of 30 it would take for a 62.52 TM to break into the legend tier? A friend of mine just broke the news that this is a legend only tournament and I am quite disappointed. I am not saying that I would of even qualified, but isn't it kind of unfair that I don't even get the opportunity to try?

You would probably need about 15-20 30's to make it Don, just guessing though.

I can hear that you are dissapointed, but it seems to me that it is the only fair way to organize it.  It would not be right if someone who has the same skill level or even better for that matter, teeing off with a 400-500 yrd advantage over 18 holes.  As we all know, just because someone isn't a legend yet, it doesn't mean that they haven't developed the skills to be one.  Also, just as Kam said, its not a segregation attempt, just a fairness issue.  It seems to me the tournament is structured to model the real Ryder Cup as closely as possible and there is only one tee box in that event.

Start crackin on those 30's Don!

    Cheers, Willy

Who needs a golf cart chauffer and a fairly decent caddy?

Maybe someday.   But for now its been suggested, play ranked post some scores and try to make Legend and when you do, pat yourself on the back for stepping it up and moving to the tips!

Hi All - I've agreed to take on the task of running whatever "betting lines" may finally be done for the 2011 Ryder Cup.   I thought I'd give you a bit of RC background information.

While the US team has won the first 2 cups in 2009 & 2010 --- in my opinion the early odds will clearly favor the International team.    As you can see by the chart below --- experience favors the international team as many of the former US players are either not actively playing, or in my opinion will decide not to compete in 2011.    In addition I sense a large number of very good international players who have not yet competed will throw their hat in the ring and attempt to qualify this year.     While nothing is cast in stone --- I give the early odds at 65% / 35% favoring an international team win.

Stay Tuned --- more to come in the coming months.

No that I saw that Master Tier cannot compete? My hopes are gone. I remember the old Ryder Cups that Master and above can compete why not stick with that? All year I wait for the Ryder Cup
