Par 5s if you don't have a decent wind. Everything else doesn't need a layup.

    Pinehurst #4.

I can only remember getting there in regulation once, and that was with a pretty good tailwind. Actually sank the putt.

It's one of those holes that apparently anything but a headwind is rare.

Mostly though it's not being able to reach rather than laying up. If I lay up it's generally in uel to avoid a big slope, I can't really think of particular holes with even lies.

For me it’s Pebble Beach #8. I’m sure there are more advanced players that can get across the big drop off but not me, even with a tail wind. I pick a club that gets me close to the edge. There are others but this one came to mind first.

I can think of at least one: Pebble Beach 14. If you could reach it in 2, the ball would never hold the green. I prefer to lay up to about 75 yards and land a soft wedge shot.

The only non par-5 I can think of that I would layup on was Oakmont, 9th hole for front, right hole location (just over the bunker).

Not laying up as much as course management. Hitting a choked driver or 3 wood to avoid trouble or land in the fairway. Kia #4 ,Olympic # 5 ,10 and 18, Pebble # 8 , rCongressional # 6 with a headwind and # 17. Just thought of 2 more RSG # 5 and  14.

If there is a chance of getting a putt over 50 feet I would prefer to lay-up for a 30 yard or so wedge.
